Some of the students hold the views that a test of English is necessary in the NMET, which make up 40% of the students, arguing that spoken English is such a basic skill of English that everyone should improve it. And one of the efficient ways to
2、improve the skill is to hold the test, for the test can enable students to pay more attention to their spoken English so that they can pass the NMET. Additionally, they firmly believed that students should be tested as long as we study English because students are required to keep different English
3、skills in balance.However, 60% of the students think that a test of spoken English isnt necessary, finding that the test is so subjective that the results of the test wont always be just. Besides, as most students are not skillful enough at spoken English that it isnt a proper time to have the test.
4、In a word, spoken English is a basic part of English language study, which can not only contribute to our skill of thinking and expressing, but also help learners experience English culture more.
