1、常用介词的用法介词可以用来表示时间、空间、方位、手段等含义，其具体用法如下：表示时间表示时间的介词主要有at, on, in, during, for, since, after, before 等。at at 表示在某一具体时刻，或把某一段时间看作某一时刻时也可用at。 在节假日也常用at。 at 7:30 在七点半at noon 在正午at that time 在那时at first 首先at the end of 在 最后at the beginning of 在开始时at the moment 当时、这时at the present (time) 目前at Christmas 在圣诞节
2、at midnight 在半夜at breakfast time 在吃早饭时at the beginning 开始at present 目前on 当表示在具体的某一天，某一天的早晨、中午或晚上时常用介词on; 对某一天或某一天的早晨、中午或晚上进行详细描述时也用on。 on Monday 在星期一on May the first 在五月一日on a rainy day 在雨天on Monday morning 在星期一早晨on the following evening 在第二天傍晚on the morning of April the first 在四月一日上午on the followin

6、后for, since For后面接表示一段时间的词语，since之后接表示某一具体的时间点或完成进行时态，表示从过去某点时间到说话时一直延续的动作或行为。I have lived in this city for more than 10 years. 我在这个城市居住了10多年了。 I have lived here since two years age/since last year. 两年前我就住在这里。I have been working in this factory since I graduated in 1993. 自从1993年毕业后我就在这家工厂工作。before,
7、by 二者都可以表示“在之前”，但by 含有“最晚不迟于”“到为止”的意思。如果by 后是表将来的时间，则与将来时连用或将来完成时连用，如若是过去的时间，则与过去完成时连用。I will be back before suppertime . 晚饭前我会赶回来。Supper will be ready by 6:00 . 晚饭将在6点之前准备好。This factory had produced more than one million cars by the end of last year.到去年年底，这家工厂已经生产了一百多万辆小汽车。after, since after既指从过去或将
8、来某一时间算起的一段时间后，这时不可与完成时连用，也可指从现在算起的一个时间点之后，这时常与将来时连用。since 后只能跟时间点或表示时间点的从句，表示从过去某一时间点一直到现在，与完成时连用。I woke up at midnight and after some time I heard some strange noise.我半夜醒来，一会儿后，我听见了一些奇怪的声音。After supper, I will take a short walk. 晚饭后，我将散散步。I have been watching TV since supper-time.自晚饭以来我一直在看电视。I hav

10、主要有over/above, under/below, in front of/in the front of/before, after/behind等。A. over over主要强调在某一物体的正上方，可指温度、海拔等的刻度。The bridge over the river has a long history. 河上的这座桥历史悠久。The plane flew above the clouds. 飞机在云中飞翔。The average temperature here in summer is well above 30.这里夏天的平均温度远远超过30。C. under Under
11、 强调正下方，是over的反义词。A car is sitting under your feet. 你脚下蹲着一只小猫。D. below Below 强调在下方，不一定是正下方，可指温度、海拔等的刻度，使above的反义词。I live below the mountain. 我住在山脚下。E. in front of, in the front of In front of 表示在某一空间外部的前面，in the front of 表示在某一空间内部的前面。In front of my house runs a small river. 在我家门前有一条小河。Dont sit in the
12、 front of the car. 不要坐在小汽车的前部。F. before Before 通常指时间的先后顺序，有时也指空间的顺序，表空间时可与 in front of 通用。Be sure to come before eight oclock . 务必于八点之前来。A couple were just sitting before/in front of me and making lots of noise during the whole film.在看电影的整个过程中，一对夫妇正好坐在我的前面，总是制造噪音。G. after after通常指时间的先后顺序，是before 的反义
13、词，在指空间的先后顺序时与behind通用。August comes after July. 七月过后是八月。Its highly dangerous to ride a bike fast right after/behind a car. 跟在汽车后快速骑自行车时很危险的。between, amongBetween 指数目明确的事物之间，而among则指数目不确定的事物之间。The house stands between two farms. 这座房子位于两个农场之间。The village lies between three hills. 这个村庄坐落于三座上之间。The villa
14、ge lies among hills. 这个村庄坐落于群山之间。Switzerland lies between France, Germany, Austria and Italy.瑞士位于法国、德国、奥地利和意大利之间。round, around, about around,round与about基本通用，指围绕某一位置或物体。在表示时间“大约”时，三者也通用。We were sitting around/round/about the teacher, playing games.我们围着老师坐着，玩游戏。Dont walk around/round/about the room.不要
15、在房子里到处走动。Were going to start off at about/ around/round six tomorrow .我们大约明天早晨6点出发。across, through, past, overacross强调穿过某一平面,其宾语常为the street, the square, the bridge, the river等；through 强调从某一空间内通过，其宾语常为the street, the forest, the gate, the valley 等；past 强调从某事物的一旁经过；over强调从一边到另一边或越过某一高度，其宾语常为the street, the bridge, the mountain等。Be careful enough while walking across the street. 过街时务必小心。I saw an old man walking over the street and disappearing into the far side.我
