IntroductionThe world has been changing rapidly and so many serious problems are happening in the worl
7、d.We believe that one of the ways to make a better world is LMTV program. However, the program has not enough been developed yet for solving these problems and to make bigger movement in both of quality and quantity. So, we need to work together beyond the organization and country.This handbook is a
8、 guidebook for organizations, which organize LMTV programs. We have made this first edition of the LMTV handbook through the first LMTV seminar in Asia, 1st to 10th November 2004, held in Tokyo JAPAN organized by NVDA and ALLIANCE in cooperation with NICE (Japan), IIWC (Indonesia), NIFC (Nepal), MCE
9、 (Mongolia), IWO (Korea), Greenway (Thailand), YES-Philippines (Philippines), SJ (France), FIYE (Poland), ESTYES(Estonia).In this book, we put forward good and failure experiences, lessons, fruits and outcomes to share and improve our programs. Volunteer is staying in a place for a
12、 long time and working for society, community, and public, to make solution and better situation of the society. Voluntary work is divers, from Environment to Social works.As a volunteer working on a long term project, you will be either a: Middle Term Volunteer (MTV), who works in a project for a p
13、eriod of 1 to 6 months. Long Term Volunteer (LTV), who works in a project for a period of 6months or longer.
