7、.Grading Scale: A = Excellent; B = Good; C = Average, D = Poor, but passing; E = Failure. Course grades will be determined on the basis of the percentage of the total number of points earned. A letter grade of A will be in the 90s, B in the 80s, C in the 70s, D in the 60s, and F below 60. The instru

8、ctors reserve the right to adjust letter grades when appropriate and settle borderline cases.Course Policy:1. Examinations. Students in both sections of the course will take combined examinations on the dates indicated in the course calendar. Make-up examinations will be available only to those stud

9、ents with class or exam conflicts and require the instructors prior written approval. The instructor will handle medical and other personal emergencies on an individual basis. Examination time and location will be announced early in the semester.2. Class Attendance: Regular class attendance is essen

10、tial and expected. You should attend the section in which they are enrolled. You are expected to be seated by class starting time. If you arrive earlier, please take a scat in the center section toward the front of the room. Late comers are expected not to disturb the class in progress and should ta

11、ke seats in the back or in the aisles. Early departure and disruptive behavior (such as unnecessary and loud conversations) are not permitted. If you miss a class session due to sickness or emergency, you should make every attempt to attend the other sections class covering similar materials.3. Home

12、work: You should complete the reading and written homework assignments in pencil on a timely basis as described on the course calendar. Written homework solutions will be available shortly after the assignments are discussed in class. Homework problems tend to be of medium difficulty. You are encour

13、aged to have done the easier exercises in the Workbook as “warm-iip” and check the solutions provided.
