The criminal is still at large。 1.Pumas are large, cat-like animals which are found in America.

这个表达还可换成dog-like, I feel like leading a dog-like life.(我穷得没钱吃饭了。) 主句:Pumas are animals.用形容词修饰 animals Pumas are large, cat-like animals.(1)进一步说明 pumas 的产地 Pumas are found in America.(2)把(1)句和(2)句合并,一个句子中只能有一个主句,另一个则为从句,修饰物用which Pumas are large, cat-like a

、nimals which are found in America. Pandas are black and white animals which are found in China.A puma at large However, asthe evidence began to accumulate, experts from the Zoo felt obliged to investigate, forthe descriptions given b

、ypeople who claimed to have seen the puma were extraordinarily similar. accumulate kju:mjlet(积累、积聚)means to gradually increase over a period of time.We have accumulated a great amount of evidence. feel obliged to sth:must, have

I felt obliged to invite him to our wedding. I feel I should resign. I would be obliged if you could attend our wedding. Experts from the Zoo felt obli

、ged to investigate.从句1:The evidence began to accumulate。从句2:the descriptions given by people who claimed to have seen the puma were extraordinarily similar.其中,从句2中的主句:the descriptions were extraordinarily similar. However, as it became hotter

、 and hotter, we felt obliged to buy an air-conditioner, for the existing air conditioner doesnt work. 2. When reports came into London Zoo that a wild puma had been spotted forty-five miles south of London, they were not taken seriously.

Spot means to notice something is very difficult to see or find something being looking for.Example: I failed to spot the error. Reports were not taken seriously. When reports came into London Zoo.其中,状语从句中又含同位语从句说明 reports:A wild puma had been spotted forty-five miles south of London. When comes news that a new type of coronavirus had been spotted in Wuhan, it was not taken seriously.
