1、量化教育中心 初三英语初中基础语法时态六、过去进行时一、定义 过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间内进行或发生的动作。 例如：Tom was getting up at six oclock every day that week. 汤姆那一周里每天都是六点钟起床。It was raining when they left the station. 他们离开车站的时候天正在下雨。二、常用的时间状语 1.at this/that time, at 时间点 time 2.when sb/sth. did sth. last evening 3. the whole morning, all d
2、ay , from nine to ten, while等。 4. when 和while引导的状语从句中，强调某个动作正在进行的过程中时要用进行时态，while表示一段时间，因此它所引导的状语从句中，谓语动词常用进行时态，如：When/While we were having supper, the light went out. 我们正在吃饭时灯熄灭了。 5.when用作并列连词时，主句常用进行时态，从句则用一般过去时，表示主句动作发生的过程中，另一个意想不到的动作发生了。 例如：I was walking in the street when someone called me. I w

They were studying from 8:00 to 11:00 yesterday.三、结构主语+was（were）+动词ing四、基本用法1、过去进行时表示过去某个时间正在进行某事或者某动作。（用介词短语或从句表示时间点）例如：My mother was cooking dinner at 9:00 yesterday. (过去某一时刻) We were having supper when Tom came in.（从句表示时间点）2、 过去进行时表示过去某个时间段内持续发生的某件事或者某个动作。例如：We
4、 were watching Tv from seven oclock to nine oclock last night. 昨晚7点到9点我们一直在看电视。3、在复合从句中，从句和主句的动作都是延续性或同时发生，那么主从句都要过去进行时。例如：While he was waiting for the bus , he was resding newspaper. 他边等车边看报。（两个动作都是延续的）He was cleaning his car while I was cooking. 他洗车时我在做饭。（两个动作同时进行）4、用过去进行时表示现在主要是为了表达语气更加委婉。例如：I wa
5、s wondering if you could give me a lift. 我不知你能否让我搭一下车。 （现在想搭车，但是说是从前一直想搭车，表达委婉）5、过去进行时表示感情色彩与现在进行时相似，过去进行时也可表示满意、称赞、惊讶、厌恶等感情色彩，也通常与 always,forever,continually等副词连用例如：They were always quarreling. 他们老是吵架。五、 主要句型1、肯定句：主语+was（were)+动词ing2、否定句：主语+was（were）+not+动词ing3、一般疑问句：was（were）+主语+动词ing？回答：Yes,主语+wa
6、s（were）或No，主语+wasnt/werent4、特殊疑问句：六、 下面几种情况只用过去进行时不用一般过去时1、表示过去某一阶段暂时性的习惯动作时。 例如：Tom was getting up at six oclock every day that week. 汤姆那一周里每天都是六点钟起床。2. 与always连用表示赞美，厌烦等感情色彩时。 例如：John was always coming to school late. 约翰上学总是迟到。 Lei Feng was always doing good deeds for the people. 雷锋总是为人民做好事。3. 用来描
7、写故事发生的情景时。 例如：It was a dark night. The wind was blowing hard and the rain was falling heavily. A PLA man suddenly appeared on the river bank. He wanted to cross the river.那是一个漆黑的夜晚，风刮得很厉害，雨下得很大，一个解放军战士突然出现在河岸上，他想过河去。4. when作并列连词，表示“（这时）突然”之意时，第一个并列分句用过去进行 时，when引导的并列分句用一般过去时。例如：I was taking a walk w
8、hen I met him. 我正在散步，突然遇见了他。 We were playing outside when it began to rain. 我们正在外边玩，这时下起雨来了。5. go, come, leave, start, arrive等动词可用过去进行时表示过去将来的含义。 例如：I was leaving for Wuhan that day. 那天我正要去武汉。 She was coming later. 她随后就来。七、 when和while的区别1、when既指时间点，也可指一段时间。因此when在状语从句中的动词可以终止性动词，也可以是延续性动词。 while只指一段
9、时间。while从句中的动词必须是延续性动词。2、when说明从句的动作和主句的动作可以是同时，也可以是先后生； while 则强调主句的动作在从句动作的发生的过程中或主从句两个动作同时发生。 3、when引导的时间状语从句。后用一般过去时。 While后面一般用过去进行时。如果从句和主句的动作同时发生，两句都用过去进行时的时候，多用while引导。例如：When the teacher came in, we were talking.=While we were talking, the teacher came in. They were singing while we were da
10、ncing.八、 英语中有四类动词一般不用进行时（不用现在进行时和过去进行时） 1、表心理状态、情感的动词，如love ,hate ,like ,care ,respect ,please ,prefer ,know 等，若用进行时则词意改变。 Im forgetting it . (=beginning to forget ) 2、表存在、状态的动词，如appear ,exist ,lie ,remain ,stand ,seem等 3、表感觉的动词，如see ,hear ,feel ,smell ,sound ,taste等. 4、表一时性的动词，如accept ,allow ,admit
