Two hours later, he saw his happy son was digging the dunghill happily. “Dad.” he shouted happily. “I will dig a foal out from the hill!” when he opened the stables door. But when the father came in

8、his sad sons room, what happened? His sad son was crying. “Dad, there are too many toys to play. And Im afraid to make the toys broken.” “My daughter,” my mother told me. “There are too many things happen every day. Everything has two sides. We should notice the good points; otherwise, we will have

9、a gray life.” From then on, I changed my mind: there will grow some fruit when the flowers withered. Spring will come soon, when the leaves fall down from the trees. They enjoy all the cheerful things. Those who are to be unhappy think and continually discontented. By their remarks, they sour the pleasu

15、res of society, offend many people, and make themselves disagreeable everywhere. If this turn of mind were founded in nature, such unhappy persons would be the more to be pitied. The tendency to criticize and be disgusted is perhaps taken up originally by imitation. It grows into a habit, unknown to its possessors. The habit may be strong, but it may be cured when those who have it are convinced of its bad effects on their interests and tastes.
