1、5B Unit9 the English Club说课Good morning/afternoon, everyone. Today Im going to say Part A of Unit9 in Book 5B. Ill prepare to say the lesson from four parts. 【Part One Analysis of the Teaching Material】(一) Status and function 1. This is an important lesson in Book 5B. From this lesson, it starts ask

2、ing the Ss to grasp contents of each part. To attain four skills request of listening, speaking, reading and writing. To start listingWord Bank and tell the Ss to remember the new words. To start asking the Ss to write the English sentences well. Therefore this lesson is in the important position of

3、 the teaching material.2. This lesson is the first one of Unit 9.So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make them learn the rest of this unit.3. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their

4、 spoken English.(二) Analysis of the students The Ss have learned English for about more than two years so far. They can understand many words and sentences. They have taken a great interest in English now.(三) Teaching aims and demands1. Knowledge objects(1)Students can listen , read , say and write

5、the words: city, visit.(2)Students can listen, read and say the words: visitor, country, UK, British, USA, American, French(3)Students can listen , read , say and write the sentences: Do you speak .?/ Yes, I do./No, I dont. Moral objectStudents can foster the sense of loving the country.(四) Teaching key and difficult pointThe teaching key and difficult points basis is established according to Part A of Unit9 in the teaching materials position and function.(五) Teaching aidsMulti-media computer, Tape

8、 recorder, Software: Powerpoint or Authorware, school things and so on. They will be needed in this lesson.【Part Two The Teaching Methods】1. Communicative teaching method2. Audio-visual teaching method3. Task-based” teaching methodAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in th

9、e Middle School is to cultivate students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, Ill let the Ss

10、to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange five kinds of activities: talking, guessing games, watching CAI, acting and having a competition.Teaching special featuresTo use these methods are helpful to develop the Ss thought.【Part Three

11、studying ways】1. Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.2. Let the Ss pass ObservationImitationPractice to study language.3. Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.Teaching special features:Let the Ss communicate with each other and adopt competition met

12、hods to develop the Ss keen interest in English.【Part Four Teaching Procedures】Ill finish this lesson in four steps. Step1:Introduction1. Free talk between T and Ss.Such as: Hello, boys and girls. How are you? Im fine, too. 2. Know you know me:In this part, Ill show the Ss some key words or pictures

13、 to let the Ss guess my information. Here, I can teach the word: speak. After that, Ill give them some of my information like this: Im from Suzhou. Im Chinese. I speak Chinese.Then I use ppt to show 3 questions: Whats your name? Where are you from? Do you speak? And ask Ss answer the questions using

14、 the sentences: Im _. Im from _ .I speak _ (Purpose of my designing: The teacher shows the introduction of herself, and let the Ss guess the teachers information .This can bring the Ss full of interests. From their reading and thinking, they can make a general idea of nationalities and languages. Me

15、anwhile, it is helpful to the practicing later.Step2. Presentation1. After listening their answers , I can say :“ Oh, I see. We are from the same city: Su Zhou. ”then to teach the word :citySince we are all from China, I lead the Ss to read the three sentences below: Im from China. Im Chinese. I speak Chinese. 2. I show them 3 pictures: kongfu panda, Mickey mouse, and Henry Potor. Lead the Ss to think : if they are the Characters , how to say.
