14、见面。“cant+adj./adv.+enough”，意思是“越越好。1.12She is old but still able. 她虽老但仍然很能干。Able adj. 能，会；有才能的。再如He is an able man. 他是一个能人。1.13 Courtesy costs nothing.礼多人不怪 。中文的其他表达方式还有：彬彬有礼，惠而不费；谦虚恭敬，不用分文。1.14 The press give the new film the thumbs down.报纸对这部新电影评价很低。观看角斗士在竞技场生死拼杀是古罗马的娱乐项目之一。比武结束后，由观众裁判如何处置被击败的角斗士。
