1、 轮机员面试知识汇总ENGINE 1. How long do you engaged in your present position as Engineer? : I do my job as Fourth Engineer more than 30 months and 11 months for Third Engineer . 2. Why do you stay at Fourth Engineer position for long time and not to be promoted ? : To this question, I want to explain on two

One is I quit my previous crew agency due to no space for me to develop ; Another is its not easy to get the chance for promotion because I renew my agency frequently in last two years. 3. As a engineer, Do you think what is the most important in your job? : I think that the sense of respo

3、nsibility to job, the enterprise to career and initiative to job are all important. 4. What is your responsibility as Third Engineer on U M S ship without Fourth Engineer ? : As a Third engineer on U M S ship, generally speaking the following description must comply. 1) Carry out work as ordered by

4、the Second Engineer in accordance with the maintenance plan 2) Doing routine watches at sea and in port 3) Responsible for reasonable consumption and stock of spare parts 4) Supervision and maintenance of Auxiliary Engines, Boiler plants, Starting air compressor and air dryer, Fuel Oil and Lub Oil P

5、urifiers , bilge pump and bilge water separator, incinerator, Cargo and mooring equipment , Cold and hot water systems and so on. 5) Weekly running test and maintenance of Boiler safety valve, Emergency air compressor, Emergency fire pump, life boat and rescue boat. 6)Daily routine operation such as

6、 ballast or de-ballast , boiler soot-blowling , burning of garbage and waste by incinerator and oily bilge or sludge oil transferring. 7) Responsibility for chemical locker, taking sample and analysis water quality from boiler water system and main engine cooling water system , proper chemical addit

7、ives to be filled according to test result. 8) Take part in bunkering operation , weekly sounding of Fuel and Lub oil Tank. 9) Weekly turning of all stand-by machinery, lubricate presently working pumps and engine as needed in accordance with lubricating chart. 10) Irregularities or faults in daily

8、work or operation to be reported to the Superior Engineer ; Assist the other engineers in performing various tasks according to Chief Engineer instruction 5. Have you ever worked on U M S ship? How do you do for U M S ship ? : Yes, Sir. I served at U M S ship for two times as Fourth Engineer. Genera

9、lly we take the routine inspection in engine room for three times a day. the morning when we go to work , the afternoon when we get off work and the midnight when we go to bed. I think that watchkeeping on U M S ship, the most important thing is follow the Unmanned machine checklist from SMS documen

10、t made by company. Carefully check the facilities in Engine room according to the checklist and make sure that all of engine are in good order condition, and everything is normal before leave. If alarm sound during U M S mode, the duty engineer should go to the engine control room, response the alar

11、m and set the mode to MANNED, and make call linkage to bridge before investigating the problem , Afetr settle the malfunction, recover the mode to Unmmaned, and cancel the call linkage to bridge, meantime keep records at log book for time,causes,action to be taken. 6. Whats your duty at bunkering op

12、eration ? Can you talk about somthing about Bunkering ? : Generally speaking, my specific duty during bunkering is control the valve and sounding oil. About the procedure of bunkering, we must comply with the bunkering checklist from comany SMS document. For example, Oil Spill Response material in p

13、lace ; Red flag or red light showed ; Deck to be drained for water ; All scuppers on deck must be tightly plugged ; Drip trays under the bunker pipe flange to be drained and the plugged ; NO SMOKING signs displayed ; Check bunker tank air pipes are opened ; Re-confirm space remaining in bunker tanks

14、 ; Fire extinguishers and fire hoses ready for use ; Discuss bunkering plan with supplier and sounding oil at oil barge ; Establish signalling system and make sure the pumping rate with the bargeman ; Sampling prepared ; open all relevant lines and valve ; Keep constant sounding during bunkering , F

15、or heavy fuel oil , usually take sounding by ullage and all of tank capacity for filling are better no more than 90 %. 7. How do you maintain your equipment? : Generally speaking, I can do the my housekeeping according to the maintenance plan manual from the Company; In this manual, I can understand

16、 the maintenance interval and what job to be done at relative interval ; In my last ship, we use the Amos software by computer to make the routine work order. But if no manual and computer, we only do our maintenance work according to the instruction of equipment. 8. How do you maintain Air compressor? what job needs to do ? : Follow the maintenance plan manual , we do the proper maintain work at the relative interval.
