Analysis of the teaching material:(教材分析)This lesson is the first part of the optional course -Book 8, which is aimed at enlarging students interest and vocabulary in the English language. And this unit intends to

2、explore students to appreciate the play made by Bernard Shaw on the basis of mastering some new words and expressions. (本节课是选修8第4单元的第一课时,旨在通过鉴赏英国作家萧伯纳的剧本皮格马利翁,为学生扩展更多的词汇和表达,进而增强学习英语的兴趣。)2. Teaching significance: (教学意义) Based on the understanding of the play made by Bernard Shaw, the teacher aims to

3、raise students awareness of learning the standard English in pronunciation, and stimulate learners to study harder by applying the Pygmalion Effect. (本节课通过对皮格马利翁剧本及效应的理解,旨在倡导学生学习使用正规的英语发音,并能运用“皮格马利翁效应”来解决实际问题,以此达到智育和美育的双重教学目的。)3. Teaching aims:(教学目标) Knowledge & ability aims(知识与能力):Try to encourage
