The paper tries to point out some problems commonly seen among them, mainly focusing on the academic problems, the physical and mental heal

3、th problems, the job hunting and the high IQ but low EQ phenomenon. In the view of the problems which exist, the author proposed the shallow opinion and advice, hoping that it can give some warnings and inspirations to the readers (especially the college students) as well as providing some reference

During the process, a lot of examples, statistics, and quotes will be used to dig out the sci

5、entific and proper reasons that cause those problems.Academic problems To spur the students on, teachers and parents always try to convey the idea that only by studying hard can one finally be accepted by a good university as well as enjoying the relaxing and free college life. The result is that so

6、me students begin to do whatever they want and totally lose control of themselves after entering the college. Its commonly seen that college students being addicted to computer or forming the bad habits of drinking alcohol and smoking, etc. Whats worse, quite some college students seldom take exams

7、with adequate preparation, which leads to low marks or even failure in the exams. Also, there are some students who work hard or even harder when compared to junior high school and bury themselves in piles of books to get good grades in exams. But high grades are not necessarily indicative of ones a

8、bility. Many students who are average in performance during the student age have achieved huge success and earned great fame while some with admiring grades have lived a common life. Taking Edison for example, he was considered not clever by his school teachers, but proved himself a talented and gre

9、at inventor later. As Confusion once put it, “Going beyond the limit is as bad as falling short.” One should always avoid going into those two extremes. We college students should take responsibilities for ourselves and try to balance our study, entertainment and work to cultivate ourselves into all

10、-round talents. For the students who lead themselves into self-indulgence, they can try transferring their interests and vigor to other meaningful activities. As for those who spend all their time just studying, try something new and take full use of the environment and facilities in the college, th

11、ats what college life ought to be.Physical and mental health problems Every year, there are lots of reports on college students getting military training, whose focus is on the negative side. Some students fainted because they couldnt tolerate the training. In the final analysis, this results from t

12、he poor physical being of the students. Too often, students are not aware of the fact that they are not as strong as they think. They believe they are still young and not necessary to worry about their health condition. If this idea does not change, how dangerous it will be! Remember, when there is

13、body healthy, there is everything. Under no circumstance should one ignore his or her physical well-being. China Science and Technology Information Oct. 2005 showed a survey on college students body condition and gave the following suggestions: (1) Take regular exercise to enhance vigor and ease the

14、 pressure (2) Balanced eating habits and scientific method of eating must be formed (3) Master the basic health knowledge and strengthen the attentionJust try the ways that you think are suitable. As for mental health, with the fast increase in the cases of campus violence and murder in recent years

15、, greater importance is being attached to the mental health of college students, as many educators and psychologists have pointed out. Mental health is as important as, if not more than, physical health is to the development of all-around personality. Poor mental health has always exerted a negative

16、 influence to students life and study and will jeopardize their future in the long run.
