It is truly an honor to be here, and I c
2、ongratulate you on celebrating your 70th anniversary.感谢你们今天邀请我来这里。非常荣幸来到这里，并祝贺你们70周年校庆。The start of a school year marks a new beginning for students. And so its fitting that Im here to talk about a new beginning of my own.新学年的开始，对学生们来说标志着一个新起点，所以也正适合我在这儿谈谈我自己的新起点。I want to say how grateful I am for
3、the warm welcome that my family and I have received from the Chinese people.我要说，我非常感谢中国人民对我家人和我的热情欢迎。As you know, my ancestral home is in Taishan in Guangdong province. Since our arrival, the people of China have made my entire family feel, simply put: at home And we are grateful.正如你们所知，我的祖籍在广东省台山。从

11、years, our two countries have been increasing our cooperation and interconnectedness for a very simple reason:40年来，我们两国一直在增强我们的合作和相互联系，原因很简单：It is in our mutual interest.这是我们的共同利益。Millions of jobs are sustained in China and the United States by the trade we do with one another. American consumers be
12、nefit from the goods made in China and daily the Chinese people rely on high quality U.S. products and services.
