1、【语法探究】原因状语从句和目的状语从句一.原因状语从句表示主句发生的原因，它的引导词有because, as, since, for 等，但是一般来说，because语气最强，也最常用。because语势最强,用来说明人所不知的原因，回答why提出的问题。because表示 直接原因，它引导的原因状语从句一般放于主句之后，有时也放在主句前。如： 【didnt go out at night, because I was afraid.因为我胆小害怕，所以我晚上不敢外出。注意：because习惯上不与so连用，汉语习惯上说“因为所以”，但英语习惯上 却不能将so与because连用。如：因为下雨
2、，所以我们呆在家里。正：Because it was raining, wc stayed at home. / It was raining, so we stayed at home.误：Because it was raining, so we stayed at home. since引导的原因状语丛包二般放壬主句之前表示己知的、显然的理由（通常被翻译成 “既然”），较为正式，语气比because弱。如：Since you are free today, you had better help me with my maths.既然今天你休息，你最好帮 我补习数学一as引导原因状语从句
3、时表示附带说明的“双方已知的原因，语气比since弱，较为 正式，位置较为灵活（常放于主句之前）。如：As it is raining, youd better take a taxi.既然在下雨，你最好乘出租汽车。As you are tired, you had better rest.既然累 了，你最好休息一T。 for引导的原因状语从句并丕说明主旬行为发生的直接原因，只提供一些辅助性的补 充说明，for引导的原因状语从句只能放于主句之后并且必须用逗号将其与主句隔开。如: He could not have seen me, for I was not there.他不可能见过我，因为我
4、不在那里。二.用来说明主句中谓语动词发生的目的的从句叫做目的状语从句。表示目的状语的从句 可以由that（以便），so that（以便），in order that（为了;以便），等词引导；目的状语从句 的谓语常含有may, might, can, could, should, would等情态动词。如: You must speak louder so that /in order that you can be heard by all.学习目的状语从句应注意以下几点：目的状语从句中常含有can, could, may, might, should等情态动词。例如：I got up ear
5、ly so that I could catch the first bus.我起得很早，0的是为了赶上头班公共汽车。 （2）在口语中s。可以引导目的状语从句。例如：Well sit nearer the front so we can hear better.我们坐的靠前一点，因此，我们听得清楚一点。 in order that 与 in order to 的区别:in order that+从句in order to+动词原形（in order to后面跟的不是目的状语从句，而是目的状语）如：He got up early in order to take the first bus.=
6、He got up early in order that he could take the first bus.他起床很早是为了赶上第-班公共汽车。目的状语从句的一个特点：亩于FI的都是未来的行为,所以从句中一般用表示未来可能性 时态，比如上面句中的couldo当然还可以用will, would, can,等。（4） so that可以引导目的状语从句，从句只能放在主句之后，此时可以和in order that 换用。如：He got up early so that he could take the first bus. = He got up early in order that
7、he could take the first bus.他起床很早是为了赶上第一班公共汽车。【注意】sothat也可以引导结果状语从句。其引导结果状语从句时，so that翻译为“以 至于”，经常可以和so/such.that.转换，且从句只能放在主句之后。如：He got up solate that he was late for school,他起床如此晚以至于上学迟到了。三.连词so有时还可以引导结果状语丛包心思是“由于某个行为而导致的结果”。表示 由于前面（主句）的原因而导致后面（从句）的结果。这种结果状语从句一般只能用于主 句之后。如：It was a neck and neck
