1、春运将始：火车票的类型知多少？Chinese trains are divided according to their speed into various classes, identified with different letters and numbers. The letters refer to different classes:中国的火车根据各自的时速分为不同等级，以车票前的首字母或数字进行区分。火车票首字母分为以下几个等级：G High-Speed Electric Multiple Units (EMU) TrainG字头列车：高铁，全称“高速动车组列车”This is

Currently, the G-train could finish the 1,068-kilometers Wuhan-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway in 3 hours, the 301-kilometers Shanghai-Nanjing High-Speed Railway in 73 minutes and the 458-kilometers Zhengzhou-X
3、ian High-Speed Railway in 2 hours.中国长途客运速度最快的火车，时速350公里/小时。目前，从武汉到广州1068公里才不到3小时，从上海到南京的301公里只要73分钟，郑州到西安458公里不到2小时。C Intercity EMUC字头列车：城际高铁，全称“城际动车组列车”This is also the fastest kind, but runs for short travel distance between two nearby cities, such as the 120-kilomters Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Ra
4、ilway.这也是中国最快速的火车，但只在相邻城市间的运行短途火车，比如京津城际高铁。D Electric Multiple Units (EMU)D字头列车：动车，全称“动车组列车”This type is also called Hexiehao (和谐号, Harmony) or bullet trains in China. The designed top speed is 250km/h. They have been widely used for serving fast and frequent transport between main cities, such as B
5、eijing-Shanghai, Shanghai-Suzhou and Shenzhen-Guangzhou.这种火车又叫“和谐号”或者“子弹头”火车。设计最高速度250公里每小时。城际高铁在人口稠密的都市圈之间运用最广，比如京沪线、沪宁城际铁路以及广州到深圳的高铁。Z Direct ExpressZ字头列车：直达列车This type with a top speed of 160km/h is also an efficient transport for long-distance travel. Generally, they run directly to the destinat

On the other hand, some are equipped with only soft-sleepers and soft-seats.这种车的最高时速是160公里，是长途旅行最实惠的车。一般来说，直达车就是是从始发站到终点站一站直达，中间不停或者仅有少量停车的车。另外，这种车次一般配有软座和软卧。T ExpressT字头列车；特快This kind has limited stops on the routes, mainly in these major cities. The highest speed

Almost every T-series is equipped with soft-sleeper, soft-seat, hard-sleeper and hard-seat.这种车次只在主要城市限停，最高时速是140公里，一般情况下T开头的车会友软卧、软座和硬座及硬卧。K FastK字头列车：快车，快速列车，全称快速旅客列车，简称快速。This series with a top speed of 120km/h has more stops than the T ones. They are equipped with air-condition and t
8、he four classes of berths.这类车次的最高时速是120公里，比T字开头的火车要多停几站。有空调，设有四种等级的席位。Accommodation Fast普快，全称“普通旅客快车”The numbers are identified with four digits and usually start with 1, 2, 4 or 5. Its highest speed is 120km/h but runs slower than the K-series as a result of more stops on the way. Currently, most o
9、f this kind are equipped with air-condition.普快车票一般以1,2,4和5开头，最高时速120，因为停靠站点更多，所以比K字开头的火车慢。目前，大部分普快都有空调。Accommodation慢车，全称“普通旅客慢车”With 100km/hs highest speed, this should be the slowest type, having as many stops as possible. They are also numbered with four digits and start with 6, 7, 8 or 9. Most o
10、f them are green trains without air-condition.最高时速100公里，这可能是最慢的一种车次，有很多站。车票一般以6,7,8和9开头，大部分慢车都是绿皮车，没有空调。Commuter Train市郊往返列车，通勤列车These are specially taken by railway staffs, so they are not opened to public passengers.特指中国铁路内部用于铁路职工上下班往返于居住地和工作地的列车，不对外开放。L TemporaryL字头列车：临客，全称“临时旅客列车”This series is
11、in operation only during the peak travel time, such Chinese Spring Festival and the National Holiday. They will not be listed in the official fixed schedule. It is not advised to take this type if you have other options as they are routinely subject to delays.这个系列的车次仅仅会在客运高峰期的时候出现，比如春节和国庆节。没有固定的发车时间
12、，一般情况下，能坐上别的车，就不会坐临客，因为它们通常都会晚点。Y TouristY字头列车：旅客列车This type is for the convenience of tourist and their destinations are the popular tourism cities. For example, there are Y-trains departing between Beijing and Qinhuangdao. Its speed is the same as the accommodation type.这类车次是为游客特设的旅游列车，一般目的地都是热点旅游
13、城市，比如从北京开往秦皇岛的Y字头列车。速度和普快差不多。S SuburbanS字头列车：城郊专运客车Running at 100km/h as the highest speed, this type is used for communicating city center and the suburban areas. It has no soft seats and sleeper berths as it only travels within short distance in day times. Currently, the S2 series travel between Beijing North Railway Station and the Yanqing County in the northern suburb of the city with stops at Qinghuayuan, Nankou, and Badaling Great Wall.最高时速100公里，是城区和郊区的往返车。由于路程短，所以没有软座和软卧。目前，北京北发往延庆列车S2线，停车点清华园、南口、八达岭等等。
