Introduction 1.1 Introduction about the authorThe author of Gullivers Travels is one of the greatest satirical writers in Britain
9、in the 18th century. His article is famous for the penetrating insight and sharp satire. One of his articles, which exposed the acts of governments corruption and rose strong social attention. For fear of his fame, the queen and the minister expelled him from London. Swift never gave up, and then de
10、voted himself into the fight for independence and freedom of the Irish. Successively he published belligerence strong literary theory. There is no doubt that he is a soldier in the movement of the Irish national freedom, and his masterpiece, Gullivers Travels, reflects his thought and spirit. 1.2 Su
