The two industries ranked together as the primary or basic industries of early civilization, then agriculture and mining continue to supply all the basic resources used by modern civilizati
2、on.The nature of mining is an excavation activity in order to extract minerals. Here the term mining is used in its broadest context as encompassing the extraction of any naturally occurring mineral substances-solid , liquid , and gas-from the earth or other heavenly bodies for utilitarian purposes.
3、But, Now, my major is mainly about coal mining. Coal is the foundation of the national economy and social development in our country, occupying the important position in the structure of the primary energy production and consumption.The coal mine work has big labor intensity and poor working conditi
4、ons. Besides gas explosion, prominent, roof caving and coal dust explosion and so on, can occur at any time. Therefore, mining engineering is production practices which considers the factors of safety, economic benefit and environmental roundly.如果说农业是人类最早的产业（文明）的话，那么采矿就理所当然地排在第 二，这两种产业作为人类早期文明最原始或最基本的产业联系在了一起。并且， 农业和采矿业至今仍是现代文明所使用的基础资源的支柱采矿的本质是为了开采矿物而进行的一种挖掘活动，这里所说的采矿是指广 义上的，因为它包括为实利目的而从地球或其他天体岩石中获取任何天然形成的 固态、液态和气态矿物的开采。但是我现在学习的主要是关于煤矿的开采。煤炭是我国国民经济和社会发展 的基础，在我国一次能源生产和消费结构中占据重要位置。煤矿井下工作劳动强 度大，工作条件差。此外，瓦斯爆炸、突出，顶板垮落，煤尘爆炸等等随时可能 发生。因此，采矿工程是综合考虑安全、经济效益以及环境保护等因素生产实践 活动。
