6、的文化知识，当你理解了文化背景，你就能更好地运用语言。）二、流行英文1.coolCool一词来自美国，风靡世界，到了中国按其音译就成了“酷”。Cool的本意是：凉快的(物理上的)，凉爽的(感觉上的)，冷静的(褒义词)，无耻的(贬义词)，冷淡的或暗示得意的强调语气用词。作为流行词汇，它代表着时尚前卫的衣着、举止、形象、生活方式.使用上，常常和某些字结合，比如：真cool，粉cool，太cool了等等。2.ohyeahYeah就是yes的意思，它最初在英语世界流行与Beatles乐队有关。1963年Beatles的一曲sheloveyou中一连串yeah,yeah,yeah的反复叫喊，使其成了流行
7、一时的词汇，频繁出现在报刊头条。而oh与yeah连用，可表示强烈的兴奋激动之情3.Ok,O了OK,okay,或者O.K.是英语中常用的口语词汇。它可以表达approval,assent或者acknowledgment的意思。TheoriginsofOKarenotknownwithcertainty,andhavebeenthesubjectofmuchdiscussionandacademicinterestovertheyears.Asaninterjection,ithasbeenborrowedfromEnglishintomanyotherlanguages.关于Ok一词的起源一直没
8、有定论，这也成为学术界多年来为之热议的话题。作为一个感叹词，ok这个英文词汇已经成为世界性的用语。在中国，不仅ok的使用频率极高，由ok转化而来的“O了”一说，简洁有趣，动感十足，在年轻人中十分流行。说到ok，不禁联想起“卡拉OK”。“卡拉OK”不是源语英语，而是日语Karaoke的音译。另一个经常用到的词汇KTV则是KaraokeTelevision的缩写。现在我们还常常用到“K歌”这个词，K取Karaoke的首字母，表达去唱歌的意思，真是简洁时尚。4. .+inging在英语中是动词的一种后缀，是现在进行时态(be + doing)动词的一种分词形式，常常表示正在干什么，正处于某种状态。如
