2、eachingisnoexception.Theintroductionofthemulti-mediateachingmethodtotheEnglishclasshasbeenoneofthetendenciestothedevelopmentofEnglishteaching.ButthemisuseofthemoderntoolswillsurelyresultinthebadeffecttoEnglishteaching.SoEnglishteachersshouldtakeanactivepartintheresearchofhowtousethemulti-mediateachi

3、ngmethodinEnglishteachingandtrytoavoiditsmisuses.【Keywords】multi-media;Englishteaching;overcome.ErroneousZoneintheUseofMulti-MediaTherearemanyoutstandingstrongpointsinmulti-mediateachingcomparingwiththetraditionalteaching.Butitisnotvalideverywher.Ithasbothadvantagesanddisadvantages.Someteacherscanno

4、tseetheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofthemulti-mediaintheirteachingandcannotexploittothefullythemulti-mediasfavorableconditionsandavoidunfavorableones.Theytaketheuseofthemulti-mediaastheleadingteachingmethods.Theycannotusethemulti-mediaandignorethefunctionofteacher.Themulti-mediateachingprogramsoftheir

5、sareonlytheaccumulationofletters,images,andthecontentsofbooks,justlikearefurbishedversionofthebook.Thereisnoinnovationintheirclass.Theyjustshowthemulti-mediateachingprogramintheirEnglishclassandteacherjustlikeaprojectionist.Teacherbecometheslaveofthemulti-mediaandcannotbeastheleadingteachingmainsubj

6、ect.CountermeasureThecountermeasuresarethemeasuresandtheremedieswhichtheeducatorscantakemeasurestocorrectthemisunderstandingsormisusingofmulti-mediaEnglishteaching.Takethemanastheprimaryandadopttheadvantagesofthemulti-media.Whenwemakethemulti-mediateachingprogram,wemustknowthatitisonlyandcanbeonlyth

7、eassistantteachingtoolforourteaching.Studentsandteachershouldbealwaystheprimary.Teacheristheleadingandstudentsaretheprincipalpart.Withtheinterpositionofmulti-media,teacherislessparticipatedintheclassandstudentsaremoreactiveintheclass.Butthisdoesnotmeanthatteacherisnottheleadinganylonger,Teacherisalw

8、aysthedesigneroftheclass,exponentialofthestudyandtheorganizeroftheclass.Theteachingartisimproved.Teachershouldpaymoreattentiontogivingstudentsadvices.Furthermore,teachershouldsetuphisownteachingstyleinhismulti-mediateachingprogramtomakehislessonsmorevividandvigorous.Everyteachermustnotbecontrolledby
