1、Status and Development for China Rubber Industry and 2007 Demand Forecast for RubberBy Fan Rende, Chief Secretary of China Rubber Industry AssociationStatus of China Rubber IndustryOvercoming the difficulties with rising prices of raw materials, China rubber industry has gained a stable, healthy and
2、 rapid development in 2006 with the national economy continued development. The nations actual consumption of rubber in 2006 reached 4.5 million tons with a growth of 12.5% compared with last years 4 million tons. So China ranked the first in the world continuously for six years. The rubber consumpt

According to Table 2, we can see that the tire is the main product for rubber consumption, of which
14、 accounted for the total consumption of over 60%. Also China tire industry maintained a stable, high-speed growth, particularly the increase of radial tires are more than 20% in recent years. From Table 3, we can see that the most of non-tire products also maintained a growth rate of above 10%. From Table 4, we can see that the major industrial rubber product mix has been optimization and the radialzation rate continues to rise. For members of China Rubber Industry Association the rate reached
