We never thought much of it at the time, but its obvious now that we were her life. I remember asking her why she made so many sacrifices for us, and her answer was ama

3、zing, “Your success will be my greatest achievement.”From that day on my attitude and actions changed. I had the strength and the courage to deal with problems instead of turning away. I wanted to push myself to new heights. She came to every competition and was always the first person at the finish

4、 line and the last person to leave. I can still hear those words that changed my life. Her goal was to give us a leg up and the opportunity to do great things; my ambition is to take that opportunity and run with it.My fatherHe never complained, at least not when we kids were around, but I could tel

5、l his job was rough. Every morning he grabbed his lunch bag and kissed my mom. Then I would stand at the window waving as he backed out of the driveway in that beat-up truck. He would always give me a smile, wave back and blow a kiss before turning down the road to work.Late in the evening, I would

6、hear the truck rattle up the drive and look out to see a weary man drag his way up the walkway to the door. As he entered the house, a bright smile would flash across his face and he would gather us up for a big hug. It was during these hugs that I first noticed the stained, rough hands and the wrin

Every day we had food on the table and a warm welcome to live in. every day he showed me the results of hard work and the joy of a loving home.Now I am older and my father has passed away.
