1、端午节来历英语【篇一:端午节的由来_英语论文】 “棕子香,香厨房。艾叶香，香满堂。桃枝插在大门上，出门一望麦儿黄。这儿端阳，那儿端阳,到处都端阳。”民谣端午节,本名端五节，又叫端阳节、重五节、重午节、天中节、天长节。端是“开端”、“初”的意思。初五可以称为端五。农历以地支纪月，正月建寅,二月为卯,顺次至五月为午，因此称五月为午月,五月初五就叫做端午。从史籍上看，“端午”二字最早见于晋人周处风土记:“仲夏端午,烹鹜角黍”。到了唐代,因唐玄宗八月五日生,宋景为了讨好皇帝，避“五”字的讳,将“端五”正式改为“端午”。有关端午的来源，就史籍来看，截至六朝，共有五种说法:一说是纪念屈原;一说是纪念介之推
2、,流行于山西一带;一说是纪念伍子胥，吴楚两地习俗；一说是纪念曹娥，浙江会稽一带习俗；一说是祭“地腊”,道教弟子的风俗。这些说法均有一定期地区性和局限性。后端午节的内容为纪念屈原一说流传最广。吃棕子、悬白艾、菖蒲、戴香草驱五毒、射柳是端午节活动老式风俗习惯及活动。妇女和孩子们喜欢用丝绸之类缝制成小小的粽子、鸡心、葫芦、樱桃、桑椹,以及小猴、小虎形状的手工艺品,或用丝线缠成小小的粽子，端午节时和香包一块儿，选出一两件挂在胸前。觉得这样做可以防病,戴到端阳正午时,把它扔掉,称谓“扔灾”。 屈原的故事 战国时代，楚、秦争夺霸权，诗人屈原很受楚王器重，然而屈原的主张遭到上官大夫靳尚为首的守旧派的反对,不
3、断在楚怀王的面前诋毁屈原,楚怀王徐徐疏远了屈原,有着远大抱负的屈原倍感痛心，她怀着难以克制的忧郁悲愤,写出了离骚、天向等不朽诗篇。公无前22年,秦国攻占了楚国八座城池，接着又派使臣请楚怀王去秦国议和。屈原看破了秦王的诡计, 冒死进宫陈述利害,楚怀王不仅不听，反而将屈原逐出郢都。楚怀王如期赴会,一到秦国就被囚禁起来,楚怀王懊悔交加，忧郁成疾,三年后客死于秦国。楚顷衰王即位不久,秦王又派兵攻打楚国，顷衰王仓惶撤离京城，秦兵攻占郢城。屈原在流放途中,接连听到楚怀王客死和郢城攻破的噩耗后，万念俱灰,仰天长叹一声，投入了滚滚激流的汩罗江。 江上的渔夫和岸上的百姓,据说屈原大夫投江自尽都纷纷来到江上,奋力
