7、RIVER、TkW+lausRev B1, Page #/19Interpolator iC-MG is a non-linear A/D converter which, by applying a count-safe vector principle, digitizes sine/cosine sensor signals with selectable resolution and hysteresis. The angle value is output incre- men tally via differential RS422 drivers as an en coder q

8、uadrature signal with an index pulse. The minimum phase distance can be preselected, thus generating fail-safe ecunter signals and enhancing the noise im- munity of the sensor systemProgrammable instrumentation amplifiers with selectable gain levels permit differential (in VDIFF or IDIFF moce) or si

9、ngle-ended input signals (in VREF or IREF mode). The modes of operation differen tiate between high impedanee (V modes) and low impedance (I modes). This adaptation of the iC to voltage or current signals enables MR sensor bridges or photosensors to be directly connected up to the device.The integra

10、ted signal conditioning unit allows signal amplitudes and offset voltages to be calibrated and also any phase error between the sine and cosine signals to be corrected.For the purpose of signal stabilization (to minimize the effects of temperature and aging), the condi- tioned signals are fed into t

11、he power supply controller which drives the transmitting LED of optical systems via the integrated 40 mA driver stage (output PWR). If MR sensors are connected this driver stage also powers the measuring bridges .If the control thresh olds are reached this is signaled at alarm message output NERR (s

12、ignal loss due to wire breakage, short circuit!ng, dirt or aging, for example).iC-MQ is protected against a reversed power supply voltage; the integrated supply switch for loads of up to 20 mA extends this protection to cover the overall system.
