Points of View-Reading一、 章节分析(Reading section )(一)综述本单元由Debbie和Mr.Yang的争论引出一则新闻和三封不同观点的来信,通过对新闻和来信的学习,使学生了解社会上对孩子消费的不同理解,从而树立正确的价值观。本课的任务有两个:1 对课文进行整体阅读。培养学生略读(获取大意)、扫读(整理有关信息)、细读(分析篇章结构,慨括中心)等阅读能力。2 与时俱进。结合课文知道什么是正确的消费观念,对于现阶段自己的消费能力应该怎么树立正确的价值观。(二)阅读目标1 知识目标学习课文中重点词、词组、句型和语法。2 能力目标提高

2、学生的阅读理解能力和培养学生的阅读技巧。阅读准备(收集相关资料)、略读(获取大意)、扫读(整理有关信息)、细读(分析篇章结构,慨括中心)等是高中学生必须具备的阅读技能。 3 情感目标帮助学生对 “points of view” 有更深入的思考,学会正确的消费观念。(三)教学方法采用任务型教学法组织教学,通过比较,讨论等具体活动,达到教学效果。(四)重点和难点1 词汇学习1) 核心词汇l argumentl targetl advertisementl estimatel identifyl possessionsl inferiorl illegall commerciall referenc

4、ing Designs)教学内容教学实施建议教学资源参考Pre-reading 建议老师用一个课时完成两个任务:l 介绍高中课本的结构特点;课文所涉及的内容;以及阅读时skimming 和scanning 技巧.l 根据课文主题,向学生介绍这则新闻的内容,和随后的三封信,用不同的方法整体理解课文顺序和内容,并调动学生学习积极性,激发学习兴趣,为顺利进入课文学习打下基础。While-reading 这是本课的主体部分,也是老师要处理的重点,既要引导学生学习重点词汇和句型,又要提高学生的阅读理解能力,培养学生的阅读技巧。l Skimming 要求学生快速略读,获得课文的大概轮廓,能在有限的时间内运

5、用skimming技巧,找到最基本的信息。其中第一题学生做起来有些困难,可以稍加提醒。l Scanning由于课本上scanning 的问题比较细,可以事先告诉学生问题相对应的段落。要求学生运用scanning 技巧,搜索需要的信息。l Further understanding 经过以上两个基础环节后,进入课文深层次的理解,要求学生能明白新闻的内容,和三个不同的社会观点,谁是赞成的,谁是反对的,并能说出理由。l Consolidation and conclusion 把课本内容作成表格形式,让学生依次填写相应内容,从而检测他们的掌握程度。具体处理这部分内容的建议见链接1课件:points

6、of view 。Post-reading Discussion这是课文的拓展部分,也是进行情感教育部分。结合课文以及当代学生的消费观念,讨论他们对孩子作为消费者的想法,是同意课文中的某些观点,还是有自己的见解,从而将主题升华。链接1说明:本部分建议采用任务型阅读教学方法。通过略读、扫读、细读等不同手段来提高学生的阅读理解能力,从而培养学生的阅读技巧。Step One Warming-up1.
