1、Intention To Buy Counterfeit Goods of Chinese Jobbers in Guizhou Province, PRC【Abstract】Thegovernmentandbusinessorganizationsareconcernedwiththeimpactofsuchillicitactivities.Counterfeitingalsoposesthreatstothewelfareofconsumers,alongwiththatitalsodisruptsthewholesocietyonvariouslevelsandharmstherepu
2、tationofthebusinesses.Therefore,factorsaffectingconsumerintentiontobuycounterfeitgoodsshouldbeexplored.Thisstudycollecteddatafrom400jobbersinKailicity,GuizhouprovincePRC.Datawereanalyzedbyusingdescriptivestatistics,Chi-squareX?-testandcorrelationanalysis.Thefindingsrevealedthatthesocio-demographicpr
3、ofileincludinggender,age,education,occupation,incomeinfluencedtheChinesejobbersintentiontobuycounterfeitgoods.ItwasalsofoundthatthereisanegativerelationshipbetweenperceivedriskandintentiontobuycounterfeitgoodsofChinesejobbersinGuizhouProvince,PRC.Inaddition,theresultsmighthelpASEANbusinessmentohavea

5、on,orsome2.5%ofthetotalamountofinternationaltrade.TheUNODCandtheWorldCustomsOrganizationestimate75percentofcounterfeitproductsseizedworldwidein2004weremanufacturedinEastAsia,mostlyinChina.AreportsaidthatChinaisthetopplacewhercounterfeitgoodsaremadeandsoldduetogrowthinonlinecommerce,63.2%ofallfakegoo
6、dsseizedintheworldbetween2004and2004werefromChina,faraheadofthenextbiggestproducers,Turkey3.3%,Singapore1.9%andThailand1.6%.Suokas,2020.AreportcommissionedbytheInternationalTrademarkAssociationINTAandtheInternationalChamberofCommerce,saidtheglobaleconomicvalueofcounterfeitingcouldreach$2.3trillionby
7、2022.Theglobalvalueofthecounterfeitmarketin2004stoodat$1.7trillion2020.Thisstudyaimstotestwhethertherearerelationshipsbetweensocio-demographicprofiles,perceivedriskandintentiontobuycounterfeitgoodsinChina.Thehypothesesofthestudyareasfollows:H1:Thesocio-demographicshasinfluenceontheintentiontobuycoun
8、terfeitgoodsofChineseJobbersinGuizhouProvince,PRC.H2:TheconsumersperceivedrisktowardscounterfeitgoodshasinfluenceontheintentiontobuycounterfeitgoodsofChineseJobbersinGuizhouProvince,PRC.ConclusionandRecommendationsThestudyoffactorsaffectingtheintentiontobuycounterfeitgoodsinkailicityGuizhouprovince.
9、Someoffindingscanbediscussedasfollows:Thestudyhasfoundasignificantrelationshipbetweendemographicsprofilesandintentiontobuycounterfeitgoods,suchasgender,age,education,occupationandyearlyincomeexceptmarital.Intermsofperceivedrisk,therelationshipbetweenperceivedriskandintentiontobuycounterfeitgoodswasf
