2、的体现On the Differences in Middle-Class Family Education between China and the US-A Case Study of Modern Family and A Love for Separation 中心论点(Thesis Statement)： 本论文主要从两部电视连续剧摩登家庭和小别离中分析两种不同的家庭教育观，发现在对子女的教养目标和教养期待方面，中国父母比美国父母设有更高的目标和期待。两国父母都注重培养孩子诚实礼貌的品德，但中国父母更注重培养孩子谦让和睦，而美国父母却更注重教养孩子独立自主和尊重别人；在亲子关系方面
3、，中国孩子和父母关系不平等，而美国孩子和父母的关系较平等；在教养策略方面，当孩子学习成绩优异或表现好的时候，中国父母习惯对他们赞扬并给予奖励，而美国父母则倾向于对该事的口头赞扬却并不给予物质奖励。当孩子学习成绩差或者表现不好的时候，中国父母经常批评训斥孩子，而美国父母习惯于将孩子的不妥之处平和地陈述出来并提出自己的看法和意见。中国父母常常会替孩子承担责任，有时会体罚孩子，美国父母大多时候让孩子自己承担责任，没有体罚现象。当孩子之间发生冲突时，美国父母会适当干涉并公平解决冲突，而中国父母经常会过度干涉并为了求和而不公平地解决冲突。当然，不同的教育产生了不同的结果。与独立的美国孩子相比，中国孩子有
4、更多的要求和依赖性，而且他们总想获得别人的关心和帮助, 适应环境的能力也没有美国孩子强,而且由于父母的过度保护，中国孩子的人交往能力较弱，在这一点上，美国孩子正好相反。而且比起中国孩子，美国孩子会更加开朗活泼、勇于创新以及充满自信。This paper stresses on analyzing two different family educations from the perspective of two TV series Modern Family and A Love for Separation, and found that Chinese parents have high
5、er goals and expectations than American parents in terms of their parenting goals and expectations. Parents of both countries focus on cultivating childrens honesty and politeness, but Chinese parents pay more attention to cultivating childrens humility and friendliness, while American parents pay m
6、ore attention to developing childrens independence and respect for others. And in terms of parent - child relationship, the relationship between children and parents is unequal in China, and the relationship between American children and parents is more equal. On the part disciplinary tactic, Chines
7、e parents are accustomed to praise and reward their children because of childrens fine performances, while American parents tend to give verbal praise instead of giving material rewards. And when the children have poor performance, the Chinese parents often scold their children, and the American par
8、ents are used to placidly point out childrens inadequacies and offer their views and opinions. Chinese parents often help to assume the responsibilities of their children, sometimes they tend to mete out physical punishment to children, while the American parents let their children bear responsibili
9、ties by their own, and there is no corporal punishment. And when conflicts occur between children, the American parents will properly intervene and fairly resolve the conflict, while Chinese parents are used to meddle unduly over-interference and resolve the conflict unfairly in order to look for a
10、peaceful settlement. Of course, different educations produce different results. Compared with the independent American children, Chinese children tend to have more demands and dependences, and they always want to get the attention and help of others, they have less ability of adapting to the environ
11、ment than American children. Due to the excessive protection of parents, the Chinese children tend to have weak interpersonal relationship skills, and at this point, the American children react against that. And American children will be more cheerful and lively, innovative and confident than Chines
12、e children.本研究目的和意义: 研究目的：1. 正确认识中美两国家庭教育差异，然后吸取借鉴美国优秀家庭教育方式。中美在家庭教育方式上存在很多差异，在这个差异上寻找最佳的结合点结合美国合理的家庭教育方式，增强读者的家庭教育意识，促进中国家庭教育的发展。2. 家庭教育在教育体系中起着重要作用，家庭是对儿童进行启蒙教育的主要场所，对其日后的良好习性的养成和智力的开发有着十分重要的作用。本文通过分析两部电视剧，用最直观的感受拉近读者与作者距离，激发情感共鸣，使读者了解正确的家庭教育观的重要性，以便在今后的家庭教育中采取正确的教育方式，让孩子形成正确的人生观和价值观。1.
