If you are usingMSC.Nastra n 2004 or above,
7、the ADAMS in terface writes a summary of the MNF export to the MSC.Nastran output file. Please review this data for any concerns. In particular, en sure that the: Mass, cen ter of mass locati on, and mome nts of in ertia are as expected. During the MNF write, the con stra int modes and the con stra
8、ined no rmal modes are orthog on alized. This yields modes that are: o An approximatio n of the free-body no rmal modes. o In terface modes, where the in terface is the collect ion of all the attachme nt point DOFs.Also, verify that the free body no rmal modes have a reas on able n atural freque ncy

You should expect to see six rigid-body modes, uni ess displaceme nt boun dary con diti ons are prese nt.Comput ing MSC.Nastra n Stress/Strai nModesFor ADAMS/Durability to process stresses or strai ns on flexible bodies, modal stress or stra in shapes n eed to be prese nt in themodal n eutralfile

14、tranLin ear Static An alysis Users Guide .Notes: You can only tran sfer one surface stress or strain fiber of plate eleme nts to the MNF for processi ng in MSC.ADAMS. If more than one fiber is specified on the SURFACE card, the msc2mnf tran slator issues a warning message and only tran sfers the fir
15、st surface stress fiber it finds in the OUTPUT2 file.In clud ing stress or stra in modes in the MNF can sig nifica ntly in crease the file size. Therefore, it becomes even more important to optimize the MNF if possible. For information on optimizing the MNF, see Optimizing an MNF. Including both stress and strain modes willfurther in crease the size of the MNF and is gen erally not recomme nded for large models, uni ess both qua ntities are n eeded.Whe n defi ning subcases in Case Con trol, you must have the GPSTRESS, GPSTRAIN, STRESS, and STRAIN cards before the first SU
