1、In a Nature Park 英文说课稿 Today Im going to talk about the second period of PEP Primary English, Grade5 Volume1 Unit6, In a Nature Park .The first period mainly deals with the new words, in this period we are going to review the words first, then, the new contents will be presented. The key point is us

2、ing the new sentence pattern There is/are . to describe the scenes. According to the contents and the fact of the Ss, I establish the following three teaching aims: 1. Aims on the knowledge: to enable the Ss to say and write the words, tounderstand the new sentence pattern. 2. Aims on the abilities:

3、 to develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking, to enable the Ss to use the new pattern to describe the things around. 3. Aims on the emotion: to cultivate the Ss spirit of loving nature and protecting the environment.The most difficult point of this period is to make sure the students can use t

4、he patterns correctly. So I arrange activities to enable the Ss to get a better understanding of the sentence pattern and create opportunities for them to use the words and patterns doing meaningful drills. Some pictures, word cards, and the CAI will be used to help me achieving the aims. The task-b

5、ased method and cooperating method will be used in this period. To accomplish the aims, I design the following steps: Step 1 Warming upIn order to attract the Ssattention and construct a relaxed atmosphere of learning English, I do some daily greetings and free talks with them, then sing a English s

6、ong together.Step 2 Revision This part is a consolidation of the words which have learnt in the first period. At first, the Ss are required to talk about the things they can see in the picture of a nature park on the PPT, Ill pay attention to their pronunciation. Then there is a game to arouse Ss in

7、terests and it enables all the Ss to participate in the class, to review the words and to prepare for the new contents.Step3 Presentation and drillsFirst, with the CAI providing a vivid situation, students are guided to describe the things in pictures of a nature park using the new sentence pattern.

8、 Then write the sentences on the blackboard, and have the Ss read in different ways. And a contrast can be made between the singular form and the plural form to help the Ss understanding and memory.The following is a guessing game. Present 4 pictures which are similar but not the same, let one stude

9、nt describe one of the pictures, other students guess. Then practice in groups. This game is designed to consolidate the use of the new pattern and it can also cultivate students observation, After the game, a match is arranged to develop students imagination and sense of collaborating. Let the Ss d

10、esign a nature park in groups, draw it on the paper. Present it and describe it. Task-based teaching method and cooperating method are used here to practice the sentences and develop Ss ability of communication. Step4 Consolidation and expansionIn this part students are required to make full use of

11、the new sentence patterns to describe their school or the classroom. It can develop students ability of transfer, and it reinforces the practical application of the knowledge.In a word, the whole period is designed from easy steps to challenging steps, and the Ss are always encouraged to think, to speak, and to present. When the Ss are participating in the activities and tasks, they can acquire information, knowledge, and have their ability and skills trained. Thats all. Thanks a lot for your attention.
