Then arouse the problem: since English is so widely-used in different regions, should learners aim to speak English with a native-speaker pronunciation or we just let it
3、go- English with an accent of your mother language, why not?In my point of view, it is of great significance for learners to speak native-speaker pronunciation. Of course, theres no point to imitate the perfect “Queens English” as some activists advocate, but make a standard can surely avoid many a
4、trouble when communicating. Lets say, imagining that there is no “lift”, then American and British wont be confused at using the expression “elevator”. Besides, speaking native-speakers English can be a bridge for brilliant future, for instance, the closer you speak as a native speaker ,the higher goals you can get in TOFEL oriel-English text, that is to say, you can have an advantage over those who speak English blended with an accent when it comes to applying for a top university. In conclusion, I strongly recommend that we learners should strive for a decent native-speaker pronunciation.
