3、econd-year ss, so its important for them to develop their listening , speaking, reading and writing skills. 3 Three Dimensional Teaching Objectives1) Aims of knowledgea) To enable the ss to understand and speak the new words and expressions, such as: giant pandas, bamboo, leaf, bamboo shoots, protec

4、t, forest ect.b)To learn something about giant pandas.2) Aims of abilities a)to infer general meaning from context and keywords;b) to respond to text by sequencing information ofc)to develop ss abilities of listening, speaking reading and writing.3)Aims of emotion a)To get the students to be aware o

8、ures of giant pandas, and present some of the new words and phrases and practise them in group work.Goals: This step is to arouse their interest of reading and learn some of the new words.Step 3 While-reading1 fast reading (skimming)Read the passage quickly and answer the questions: 1)What is the ti

9、tle of this report? 2)What is the name of the panda?Goals: to help ss to get the main idea and train the ability of catching the info. in a general way.2. careful reading(scanning)1.Read the passage quickly and silently and find out the main idea of each part .2.Read it carefully and understand the

(the growth of Xi Wang) 2) Fill in the blanks (the problems that Xi Wang may have) 3) Find out the actions to protect Xi Wang and discuss what we can do and cant doGoals: To develop their reading skills: skimming, scan
