The elephant weighs 5,000 kilos.这头大象重5000千克。weigh在此处作系动词，表示“重（多少）”；名词表重量见知识点一。weigh还可做“称的重量”，为及物动词。例: He weighed the fish.他称了这条鱼。【拓展】名词为weight, 意为“重量，体重”。 例：这只羊的重量是多少？ What is the _ of the sheep? 它重100公斤。 It weighs 100 kilos. (=It is 100 kilos in weight.)
