1、外研版学习参考资料:Module 10 Fitness1.Ive got a friend whose brother is training for the Olympic. Train “训练,培养”,动词。常见是名词,“火车”。如: Youll have to train hard before the next match. Which train will take me to Harbin?2.My legs ache a bit.区别:ache,pain和hurt 用法pain是不可数名词,长时间、不间断的疼痛;可指心灵的伤痛,也可指付出努力;ache也是疼痛的意思,表示局部的持

2、续的疼痛,如:toothache/headache ,作名词是可数名词,复数是aches;而hurt 普通用语,既可指肉体上的伤害,也可精神上,感情上的伤害,也可以做名词,是“伤痛,受伤”的意思。3.Dont give up if you want to stay fit.(1)give up 放弃,后面接名词,动名词,代词要放在中间,如: Smoking is bad. He has given it up. You mustnt give up studying foreign languages for even a day. (2)stay fit “保持健康”,stay在此是系动词,

3、后接形容词作表语。如: The weather will stay cool for two days.4. Hell need to take a lot of exercise. take a lot of exercise “作大量的锻炼”, exercise在此是不可数名词,表示“运动,锻炼”。如: Does a runner get a lot of exercise or not?exercise表示“操”时是可数名词。如: Do morning exercises every day is good for your health.5. Ive just bumped into

4、the headmaster.Bump into “遇到,撞见”, 如:I dont bump into you much these days.辨析:meet与bump into:Meet “遇见,相见,碰见”, 是指最普通的相见。而bump into是强调指“偶然遇见”,meet by accident。如: We are going to meet him at the airport. He wasnt looking and ran bump into a tree. 他没看好路, 猛然撞在一棵树上。6.He doesnt look like someone whose fitnes

5、s and health interest him very much.(1) fitness和health都是名词,“健康”,一般可以通用。其形容词分别是fit和healthy. 如: I have my fitness class on Tuesday and Thursday.Smoking is bad for your health(2)interest在此是动词, “使产生兴趣,引起的兴趣”;interest也可以作名词,“兴趣,爱好”。如: Does opera interest you? 你对戏剧感兴趣吗? Interest后面加后缀可以构成形容词interesting和int

6、erested。interesting主语是物,表示某物使人很有兴趣;interested主语是人,表示某人对某物敢兴趣。7. He told them they needed to ban junk food from school.(1) need在此是实义动词,又可做情态动词. need 做实义动词时,后面的不定式必须加to, need + n./ need to do sth,如: He needs help, and his mother needs to send to the hospital.need 做情态动词时,只能用于疑问句,否定句和条件句,后面跟原形do,否定形式为 n

7、eed not。如: You neednt go if you dont feel like it.另外need后面加doing时,可以表示被动,need+doing=need to be done,如: The trees need watering.(2)ban “ 取缔,查封,禁止”,可以构成短语ban on doing sth或者 ban sb from doing sth。 如: We should ban the students from smoking.8. People either swim in it or even drink it.Eitheror “要么要么;或者或

8、者”, 可以引导主语或者宾语,谓语动词符合邻近原则,即谓语动词的单复数由靠近它的主语决定。如: Either you or I am going to help Jim.Either you or they are going to help Jim.攻克难关whose 在定语从句中的用法 whose是定语从句中一个常用的关系代词,它引导的定语从句是语法重点,也是常考查的内容。要学好whose引导的定语从句,须注意: 一、whose为who的所有格,作“某(些)人的”解,它所指代的先行词必须是人,其引导的定语从句修饰它的先行词,同时它本身在从句中作定语。如:This is the little

9、 girl whose parents were killed in the great earthquake. Mr Liu wants to talk to the students whose homework hasnt been handed in.二、whose也可作which的所有格,作“某(些)物的”解,它所指代的先行词必须是物,其语法功能同上。如:The company whose name was Notco was in Australia. We live in a house whose windows open to the south. 三、whose可修饰定语从

10、句中的主语、宾语、介词宾语等成分。如:Mr King, whose legs were badly hurt, was quickly taken to hospital.(whose修饰定语从句中的主语legs)We shall have to make a decision about Ms King, whose story Ive just told you.(whose修饰定语从句中的宾语story)The boss in whose department Mr King worked had heard about the accident.(whose修饰定语从句中介词in的宾语

11、department) 四、whose既可引导限制性定语从句,亦可引导非限制性定语从句。 五、由于whose具有兼作who和which的所有格的双重功能,故在指人时可以用of whom代替,指物时用of which代替。如:This kind of book is for children, the native language of whom(=whose native language.)is Chinese.Mr Brown has written a novel, the name of which(=whose name)I completely remembered.专项训练用w
