1、蒙古国2010年鉴 Overview PopulationThe resident population of Mongolia was 2780.8* thousand by the end of the year 2010, showing is an increase by 45.0 thousand or 1.8 percent compared with the previous year. Out of the total population 48.6 percent are male and 51.4 percent are female in the given year,

2、with a sex ratio at of 95 males per 100 females.The migration stream to Ulaanbaatar city has not slowed down and the population is increasing year by year. In 2010, population density was 245 persons per square kilometer in Ulaanbaatar, increase by 26 person (11.7 percent) since 2007, 17 person (7.4

3、 percent) since 2008, and 8 person (3.5 percent) since 2009, respectively.In 2010, about 63.3 percent of the total population or 1760.4 thousand persons were living in urban areas. More than half the population of Domod, Domogobi, Govisumber, Darkhanuul, and Orkhon aimags were living in urban areas,

4、 whereas in Ovorkhangai, Doundgovi, Arkhangai, Zavkhan, and in Tov aimags, about 80 percent of the population were living in rural areas.In the same year there were 742.3 thousand households, of which about 62.5 percent were residing in urban areas and 37.5 percent in rural areas. The estimations sh

5、ow that there were 3.7 persons per household, in 2010.The population net growth has decline since 1990. However during last 5 years, the birthrate has grown, but in 2010, the crude birth rate per 1000 population reached 22.9, decreasing 2.6 percentage points compared to 2009. The number of live birt

6、hs reached 63.3 thousand, indicating an increase by 11.7 percent since 2007, a decrease of 0.8 percent since 2008, and 8.5 percent since 2009. The sex ratio at birth in Mongolia was reported to be 104 males per 100 females, coming closer to the international average. The total fertility rate decreas

7、ed to 2.7 in 2010 compared to 2.3 in 2007, 2.6 in 2008 and and 2.7 in 2009.The crude death rate has been relatively constant during the last years (2004-2006). Since 2007 it rather decreased, dropping down to 6.2 in 2009, hence an increase of 0.4 percentage point was reported in 2010. Infant mortali

8、ty rate has been further decreasing; however, in connection with increased birthrate, the IMR has increased since 2009, constituting 7.0 percent out of 18.3 deaths in 2010. The crude death rate varied by aimags. Hence, in 2010, the highest crude death rate was registered in Orkhon (7.8), Ardhangai (

9、7.7), and Khovsgol (7.7) aimags and the lowest in Bayan-Ulgii(5.8), Khovd (5.9), and Govi-Altai (5.9) aimags.In 2010, life expectancy at birth at the national level was 68.05 years, increased by 0.1 year compared to the previous year. And in 2010, life expectancy of female was 72.26 years; life expe

10、ctancy of male was 64.93 years.In 2010, 9.3 thousand couples were married, 3.0 thousand couples were divorced and 2.4 thousand children were adopted. Compared with the previous year, the number of marriages has decreased by 3.6 times, whereas the number of divorces has increased by 25.5 percent and

11、adoption by 12.6 percent. Crude marriage rate decreased steadily since 2007. In 2010, crude marriage rate was 3.4, decreased drastically by 9.2 percentage point compared with the previous year.The crude divorce rate or the number of divorces per 1000 persons had tendency of increase since 2007 and i

12、t was 1.1 in 2010, increased by 0.2 percentage points compared to 2009.Note: *Once the 2010 Population and Housing Census results are out, these indicators will be edited.SOME POPULATION AND SOCIAL INDICATORSIn 2010, the number of orphan children reached 42.9 thousand, representing 1.6 percent of th

13、e total population. It is a decrease by 13.8 percent from 2007, by 10.8 percent from 2008 and by 6.4 percent from that of 2009. Out of all orphan children, 4.7 thousand or 10.9 percent are children who are double orphans or lost both parents and 38.2 thousands or 89.1 percent are children who are or

14、phans or lost one of parents. Total number of double orphan children represents 0.2% of the total population and the number of orphans 1.4 percent. In 2010, number of double orphan children decreased by 8.0 percent from 2007, by 7.0 percent from 2008 and by 0.4 percent from 2009. Whereas, the number

15、 of orphan children decreased by 14.4 percent from 2007, by 11.2 percent from 2008 and by 7.1 percent from 2009, respectively.In 2010, 81.0 thousand female headed households were estimated. That is an increase by 12.3 percent compared with 2007, 5.5 percent compared with 2008, but a decrease by 0.2

16、percent compared with 2009. From the total number of female headed households, 44.7 thousand or 55.2 percent have up to 3 members, 28.8 thousand or 35.6 percent have have 3-5 members and 7.5 thousand or 9.2 percent have 6 and more members. As of the year 2010, 14.7 percent of total of female headed households are estimated to be residing in Westem region, 23.9 percent in Khangai region, 20.4 percent in Central region,
