1、教学设计与反思课题: 人教必修4 Unit 1 A Student of African Wildlife科目: 高中英语教学对象: 高二学生课时: 1课时提供者:孙 荩单位: 大理新世纪中学一、教学内容分析本单元紧扣“女性”这一中心为话题,通过介绍几位生活在不同国 度的杰出女性,探讨女性在生活中的地位,价值和贡献。关注她们所面 临的困难,讴歌她们在社会各个领域的卓越成就。学习本单元有助于提高学生对妇女的社会角色的认识,培养学生的自信心,事业心和社会责 任感,建立正确的性别观和社会观。二、教学目标知识与技能:1. Get students to learn new words and expr

2、essions in this unit 2. Let students know about great women and their achievement in different fields in the world 3. Develop students listening, speaking reading and writing skills过程与方法:1. Task-based teaching and learning 2. Cooperative learning 3. Group Discussion情感态度与价值观:Let students learn from g

3、reat women, stimulate their love and respect for great women and develop their moral qualities and their sense of cooperative learning.三、学习者特征分析本次授课的学生是高二年级的学生,已经有了一定的语言基础。学生对于本单元的内容较感兴趣,其中有伟大的女性之一宋庆龄是被学习的楷模,至于课文中提到的简古道尔是学生不熟悉的人物,但是因为简古道尔研究的黑猩猩是学生们熟悉的动物之一,所以教师可以提供一些相关的背景知识协助学生理解人物的高尚精神以及为人类所作出的杰出贡献。

6、iversity.导入本节课的主题:A student of African wildlifeStep 2 Skimming Ask students to look through the whole passage and then answer the following questions:1 ) Who is the protector? 2 ) What animals life was she studying? 3) Where was she studying it, in the forest, or in a university?Ss skim the text and

7、 find the answers to the questions quickly and correctly.略读就是以尽可能快的速度进行阅读。培养学生快速抓住文章人物、事件、时间、地点等基本信息的能力。Step 3ScanningAsk students to give the main idea of each paragraph.Ss should read the text carefully and then give the main idea of each paragraph.寻读是快速阅读的另外一种方式,它要求教师设计好需要查找的信息和具体的事实。利用小组互问互答的方式培

8、养学生的获取信息、发现问题、分析问题、解决问题、用英语交流和与人合作的能力。Step 4 Reading for comprehensionGive Ss a few minutes to read the text again and then answer the following questions:1) Whats the first activity for the group in the forest?2) When did Jane Goodall start her project?3) Whats the purpose of Jane Goodalls study of

9、 chimps in the forest?4) What has Jane Goodall achieve in her career?Ss should read the text carefully again and then discuss with the partners to find the answers.阅读理解能力的素质主要体现在两个方面:一是快速阅读,二是准确理解。两者缺一不可。因此,在此过程中,教师设计一些帮助学生深刻把握课文要旨(message)的问题。 Step 5 ConsolidationDiscuss the following questions:1)W

10、hat problems might she have while working in the forest? 2)What do you think of her? Give examples to support what you think.Ss should discuss with the partners to find the answers.学生通过阅读获得了信息的输入,而运用所输入的信息来完成某项有实际意义的任务是巩固其阅读效果,内化其学习内容,进行德育渗透,学生通过讨论、采访和辩论,进一步理解Jane Goodall的工作重要性及其优秀的品质,唤起同学们理解动物、尊重动物

11、和保护动物的意识。Step 6 HomeworkWatch a video and write a letter to those parents who prefer boys to treat girls equally by telling them some stories of some women of achievement. 由于中国传统观念的影响,有一部分世代居住在农村的父母有抛弃或虐待女婴的现象,要求学生看完视频新闻报道后,写一封信给这些不喜欢女孩的家长,劝说他们公平对待女孩,信中要有成功女性的事例描述,使家长们看了这些成功女性的事迹改变他们的落后的观念,公平地对待女孩。七

12、、教学评价设计 让学生根据以下的问题自查这节课结束后所学到的知识,并对自己在这节课上的表现进行自我评价。Questions:1. Are there any new words for you in the reading part?2. Can you retell the main idea of each paragraph?3. 13、 African WildlifePara1: How the group followed Janes way of studying chimps in the forest.Para2: What Jane discovered about chimps in the forest.Para3: How Jane tries to protect the chimps in the natural habitat.Para4: What Jane has achieved.九教学反思随着国际互联网的普及,人类彼此间的交往越来越方便,越来越频繁。从这个意义上说,英语教学要使学生多一双看世界

14、的眼睛、多一对听天下事的耳朵和多一条与外国人交流的舌头,更重要的是要培养学生的事业心和社会责任感,建立正确的性别观和自信心,使学生拥有正确的人生观、世界观和价值观。在当前人们津津乐道于素质教育的话题时,我们更应当看到,英语教学对学生世界观、人生观的形成必然产生重大影响。此教学步骤中的第五步巩固性课堂活动环节就是为了渗透思想教育而设计的,如果在这两个教学环节中教师能适时地介入给予引导,思想教育就可滋润学生的心田。社会快速地发展,我们要更新教育观念、不断改进教学方法、提高教学能力与外语水平才能跟上社会发展的需要要加强对外语教育教学理论的学习和研究;摈弃“以传授知识为本、注重讲解传授”的封闭型传统的

15、教学模式。 英语教师应将教学注重点转移到学生的性格、兴趣、情绪等方面的培养和控制。在新课程改革前提下,我认为,reading教学应处理好以下关系:1)The relation between teachers teaching and students learning.We should teach the students more about the methods of learning, not only about the knowledge of the language itself.2) The relation between students interest and students learning.We should think more about the students interest and happiness while teaching. we should try our best to let the students stud
