In folk culture, it is said that people use red color and fireworks or firecrackers to drive away a dreadful animal “nian”. As a result, the custom of using red color and
4、 setting off fireworks remains.Before the Spring Festival, every family does a thorough house cleaning and purchases enough food, and new clothes, especially for children.
