1、seem用法总结seem可用作连系动词或不及物动词，意为“似乎；仿佛”，其常用用法现归纳如下： 一、“主语+ seem +（to be ）+表语”，表语多为名词或形容词，有时是其她的词或短语，以阐明主语的特性或状态。例如：Tom seems （to be ） a very clever boy. 汤姆看上去是一种非常聪颖的男孩。The man over there seems to be a new teacher. 那边的那个人看上去像一种新教师。Mr Black seemed to be quite happy. 布莱克先生仿佛十分快乐。This small town seems chan
2、ged a little. 这个小城乡似乎有点儿变化。二、“主语+ seem + 不定式”，此句型中的seem与不定式一起构成复合谓语。例如：Mrs Green doesnt seem （或seems not ） to like the idea. 格林夫人似乎不太喜欢这个主意。The children seemed to be eating something in the room. 孩子们仿佛正在房间里吃东西呢。The young man seemed to have changed much. 这个年轻人看起来变化很大。三、“It seems + that从句”，其中it 是形式主语，
3、that引导主语从句。例如：It seems that no one knows what has happened in the park. 似乎没有人懂得在公园里发生了什么事。It seems to me that Mr Brown will not come again. 在我看来布朗先生不会再来了。四、“There + seem to be +名词”，其中to be 可省略。seem 的单复数形式要根据背面作主语的名词的单复数形式而定。例如：There doesnt seem to be much hope of our beating that team. 看来我们战胜那个队没有多大
4、但愿。There seems no need to wait longer. 看来没有再等的必要了。一seem常常和不定式，形容词，分词，名词和介词短语搭配。如:1seem+不定式（短语）a)I seemed to hear a voice in the distance .b)Your advice seems to be doing me a favor .c)I seem to have caught a cold .注意：1seem后跟不定式（短语）时，要注意不定式所示动作发生的时间，以此来拟定不定式的时态。2seem后不定式的否认式习惯上用 dont 来替代，（放在seem 前），如
5、：You dont seem to be quite yourself today ( =You seem not be quite yourself today )2.seem +形容词a) She seems quite happy today.b) The enemy seems powerful but in fact it is weak.注此句式出可看作是seem+to be+adj句式的一种简化形式。如例a可转换为：She seems to be quite happy today.例b可转换为：The enemy seems to be powerful but in fact
6、 it is weak.但目前由于英语的发展，seem+to be+形容词构造的用法已越来越少，seem+adj的构造已趋成型，属口语语体。3Seem+分词a) The situation seemed quite encouraging.b) The news seems exciting.c) They seems interested in the film.注seem后用目前分词还是过去分词取决于分词自身的逻辑主语，如句中的主语（盍作的执行者）是分词的逻辑主语，用目前分词，反之用过去分词。4、seem+名词a) She seems a clever girl.b) Her mother
7、 seems a teacher.c) It seemed a long time before my turn came.5.seem+介词短语They seemed in high spirits.二、seem常用于it作形式主语的“It seems/seemed that”构造，如：a) It seems that you were lying.b) It seemed that he had been a scientist.c) It seems impossible that he will be here tomorrow.注1）在这一句式中，常省去that，如例a可改为：It
8、seems you were lying.2)间或在seem后可跟一形容词，如例c.三、seem常用于由as if/though引导的从句中，如：a) It seems as if it is going to rain.b) It seems as though our planll be perfect.c) It seems as if he knew nothing about that.d) It seems as if it was/were spring already.注在这种句式中，如从句所论述的情实现的也许性比较大，从句谓语用陈述语调，如a,b两例；若实现的也许性较小，或主
9、线不也许实现，从句的谓语则用虚拟语调，如c,d 两例。四、seem一般用在“It seems(seemed)to sb(that)”的构造中，这种构造常用来表达“行为”的主体，例：a) It seems to us a good chance.b) It seems to the emperor that the people were right.c) It seems to me eveyythingis all right.五、seems也常用在“there seem(s) to be”句式中，用来替代be，作句子的谓语。如：a) There seems to be no point i
10、n refusing.b) There seemed to be something the matter with him.c) There doesnt seem to be too much hope of our team beating theirs.注1）在这一构造中，seem表达“似乎有”、“看来”的意思，如：There seem to be a lot of things to do .(=It seems as if there were a lot of things to do.)2)There seem(s) to be +n”这个构造的否认形式为“There seem
11、(s) to be +no+n.”（如例a）或（“There doesnt seem to be +n.”（如例c）.六、seem有时也同人称代词I连用，意为“感到仿佛、觉得似乎”等意，如：a)I seem unable to solve it right now.看来我无法立即解决它。b)I seem to have seen him somewhere before.我仿佛此前在什么地方见过她。七、seem还常常同like搭配。如：注这种句式体现的意思同“seem+to be +n.”构造体现的意思基本相似，故两种句式可替代，如：The girl seems like a bird/to be a bird.
