A natural beast is any monster with the natural origin and the beast type. You may only summon a natural beast of your level or lower, and you must know the exact type of beast you plan to summon before the ritual is performed. Your Nature check determines how long the beast serves you. You can also grant your summoned beast a number of resistances to energy types of your choice. This duration amounts to a number of hours in non-combat situations; however, if you plan to use the beast in combat, it only serves for a number of encounters, as indicated on the table in parentheses. You could conceivably mix these two durations, using a beast as a mount for one hour, and then using it in a single combat encounter. Once the duration expires, or the beast has served in the number of combat encounters shown on the table, it disappears, and returns from whence it came.A summoned beast is under your complete control, and you may direct its actions each round as a free action. It will attack your enemies, serve as a mount, or perfonn any reasonable task of which it is capable. Ordering the beast to undertake suicidal actions breaks your control over it, and it will immediately depart. The summoned beast can be damage normallyThe ritual's component cost is equal to one-fifth the market price of a magical item of your level. In addition, you need some kind of organic material (fur, claw, skin, etc.) from the beast you intend to summon.。
