3、明的简介 商品说明（英文：product description，trade description）又称产品说明、商品说明书或说明书，基本作用是解释说明。随着我国经济的发展，人民生活水平的不断提高，工业、农业的飞速发展，文化娱乐活动也日益繁荣，人们在生产生活中会遇到许多各种各样的生产产品和生活消费品，科技的发展更是使这些产品、消费品包含了很强的科技成分。为了使消费者能很好地使用这些商品，真正为他们的生活服务，各生产厂家均会准备一本通俗易懂的产品或生活日用消费品的说明书，给用户的使用以切实的指导和帮助。 按照商品说明的不同功能，商品说明可以分为以下几种： 1.商品介绍说明 商品介绍说明主要指关
4、于那些日常生产、生活商品的说明书，主要针对某一商品的所有情况进行介绍，比如其组成材料、性能、存贮方式、注意事项、主要用途等。这类商品说明的对象可以是生产消费品，如电视机；也可以是生活消费品，如食品、药品等。 2.商品使用说明 商品使用说明是向人们介绍具体的关于某商品的使用方法和步骤的说明书。 3.商品安装说明 商品安装说明主要介绍如何将一堆分散的商品零件安装成一个可以使用的完整的商品。为了运输的方便，许多商品都是拆开分装的，用户在购买到商品之后，需要将散装部件合理地安装在一起，这时就需要有一个具体详实的安装说明书。 一张商品说明书除了简明易懂的说明之外，一般配有彩色插图，如机件位置、名称、操作
5、程序图等，电子产品还要附电路图。商品说明是推销商品、传播新科技知识的一种重要媒介。一般会精心设计，印刷精美，引人注目。 商品说明的种类繁多，涉及到各个领域，如机械、电子、纺织、食品、医药、书刊、电影电视和日用品等，其性质决定了各种各样的商品说明具有一定的共性，并遵守一定的固定格式：开始第一部分简单介绍商品的生产、用途及优点，然后分成几个段落，每个段落前面一般有个小标题。 这些段落可能包括：（1） 商品的特性、功能和主要成分（结构）（2） 商品安装或使用（操作、食用）的方法（3） 商品使用时或使用后的注意事项（4） 商品的主要性能指示及规格 不同种类的商品说明在细节方面略有不同，这是由商品类型和
6、特点的差异决定的。 例如，机械电子类的商品说明主要部分有：（1）Introductory remarks（简介）（2）Features（特点）（3）Parts identification; principle and construction（部件名称，原理和构造）（4）Operation（操作方法）（5）Maintenance and caution（维修要注意事项） 而药品说明书的主要部分是：（1）Introductory remarks（简介）（2）Ingredient（成分）（3）Indications and usage（适应症和用途）（4）Direction and Dosage
7、（用法与用量） （5）Caution（注意事项）（6）Storage（储藏）（7）Packing（包装） 商品说明的翻译是词汇、语句、段落、文章翻译的有机整体。翻译过程一般包括理解和表达两个阶段，只有在正确理解原文的基础上,才有可能正确表达原文，使得译文既忠实于原文的内容、专业术语翻译正确，又符合译文格式和用词习惯，避免逐字死译的生搬硬套。第三节 翻译案例与分析一、原文 Sample 1“Plump” Shelled Pumpkin Seeds are a distinctive and peerless product of its type.
