Unit 5 Seasons教材解析本单元的教学内容主要是围绕春、 夏、秋、冬各个季节的活动展开的因为是关于季节的话题， 和学生的生活息息相关， 且与前面四个单元的主题都不一样，学生对此会觉得很有趣，所以，在教学时，教师可以利用学生的这一好奇心来展开教学本单元的句子都很简短， 对学生来说很容易 关键是让学生熟记单词， 并学会简单地描写自己一年四季的活动 在这方面， 教师可以通过让学生回忆自己一年四季的主要活动并用英语讲述的方法来帮助学生掌握本单元的内容这一单元的内容分为七个局部，分别是：第一局部： Story time这一局部以故事的形式给学生展现了春、夏、秋、冬的天气特点和主要活动，就像一篇记叙文一样同时，本局部也呈现了本单元的重点单词： season, spring, warm, fly, kite, go climbing, goboating, summer, hot, autumn, cool, piic, go swimming, winter, cold, go skating和描写四季活动的句子因此，在教学时，教师要格外注意学生对本局部的学习情况第二局部： Fun time。
这一局部的主要任务是让学生制作各个季节的卡片并朗读卡片内容 卡片内容包括每个季节的代表和 “我〞的主要活动另外， 在本局部也要提醒学生注意英语的书写问题 英语句子的第一个单词的第一个字母要大写，末尾要有标点符号英语的句号是实心点，汉语的句号是空心点第三局部： Cartoon time这一局部主要是关于天气和拿错包的对话本局部的 “ Whose bag is this? It’ s my bag./Is this your bag? No, it isn ’t. 〞都是学生平时已经接触过的句子，学习本局部内容对学生来说难度并不大，关键是学会应用课文中的知识第四局部： Sound time这局部内容是本册书的一个特色，主要是让学生通过学习字母在单词中的发音来了解英语单词的发音规那么 本单元要教给学生的是元音字母 i 在单词中的发音在第四单元中，学生学习了e 的发音情况，在本单元要学习的是 i 的发音情况在教学时，教师可以采用听、说的方法让学生仔细辨识的 i 发音情况另外，教师还要带着学生复习上一单元学习的发音第五局部： Song time这一局部学唱的句子是 “ It’s a Sunday. Let’ s fly kites.〞对学生来说，这两个句子本身并没有什么难度，关键是要让学生掌握歌曲的节奏和发音。
