The braking system is mainly composed of 4 parts, the power supply device, the control device, the transmission device and the brake. The main function of the braking system is driving the car slow down or even stop, make the downhill speed of driving the car remained stable, have been suspended in the car remained motionless.This paper provides a brief overview of the mass of the automobile braking system development and application, focusing on the composition and working principle of brake system, brake system fault maintenance methods are analyzed in detail, especially on the disc brake and drum brake.
