A small street in Manhattan. Around the corner, a small café Central Perk is standing with flowers waving above the door. Some guys are enjoying their time inside. Chandler: Sounds like a date to me. sound like 两个意思，第一是自己不能确定的时候，第二是故作深沉，欲扬先 抑各举一个例子，你的同桌一边听着老师在上面讲关于考试的事情，你一边 小声嘀咕:”Sounds like this time it’s going to be a very serious game to play.”(听上去，好像这次还弄得挺严肃的)你的同桌不解:”what?”你一皱眉头:”I mean the test.”（我是说这次考试）这次，同桌莞 尔一笑:”Sounds like you’re getting a bit chicken!”（怎么，听着你好 像对考试有点没底！）注意看，你要下班了，看到同事还没有走，于是过去亲 切慰问一下:”Are you done? Come on!”(你工作做完了吧？走，我们一块！) 可是同事面露踌躇:”Ah, you just go ahead and I’m waiting for the call of the boss.”（这样吧，你先走吧，我还要接一个老板的）说完之 后，春风扑面。
你觉得奇怪:”Sounds like the prelude of a date or something, huh?”（我怎么听着象是个约会的前奏似的？）看着你不怀好意的 脸，同事:”You never know!”（这我可说不准了）蕴足少女的羞涩你吐吐 舌头，先溜了吧其他的情景，辩论之中，对方说:”That argument sounds reasonable.”(那个观点听上去蛮有道理的)聊天之中，你说道薪水问题时咬牙 切齿，朋友若有所悟:”Sounds like salary is the big trouble.”（看来， 你之所以不喜欢这个工作，是因为薪水的问题） Time Lapse Chandler: Alright, so I’m back in high school, I’m standing in the middle of the cafeteria, and I realize I am totally naked. All: Oh, yeah. Had that dream. Chandler: Then I look down, and I realize there’s a phone… there. Joey: Instead of…? Chandler: That’s right. Joey: Never had that dream. Phoebe: No. Chandler: All of a sudden, the phone starts to ring. Now I don’t know what to do, everybody starts looking at me. Monica: And they weren’t looking at you before?! Chandler: Finally, I figure I’d better answer it, and it turns out it’s my mother, 。
