广西大学硕士学位论文 从跨文化非言语交际角度论《哈利波特与密室》共元文化群体与主流群体 ii 摘摘 要要 跨文化交际学包括跨文化言语交际和跨文化非言语交际言语交际是研究话语交流,而非言语交际主要研究除话语之外的非言语行为,比如身势语跨文化非言语交际作为跨文化交际中不可或缺的一部分受到越来越多研究者的关注近二三十年,跨文化交际学研究已经取得了很大的进展,理论不断成熟,研究不断完善美国学者 Mark P. Orbe1998 年提出的共元文化理论, 从主流群体和共元文化群体的角度来研究跨文化群体交际 英国女作家 J.K.罗琳创作的小说 “哈利波特” 系列讲述的是一个孩子如何历经危险,不畏死亡勇敢与恶势力斗争其中第一部 《哈利波特与魔法石》登上畅销书排行榜第一位后,她的第二本书《哈利波特与密室》很快就出版,这个故事不仅征服了很多孩子,也吸引了不少大人们的关注从作品问世以来,很多人从翻译,文学等方面对其进行研究,而很少进行作品人物的非言语交际研究 本文采用定性研究的分析归纳研究方法,从跨文化交际理论之共元文化理论的角度出发,从跨文化非言语交际研究的五个方面—外表服饰,目光接触,个人空间距离,副语言, 身体语言, 通过对 《哈利波特与密室》 中共元文化群体—麻瓜 (不会魔法的人类) ,和非麻瓜类但会魔法—家养小精灵,鬼魂,哑炮(生于魔法师家庭却不会魔法) ,魔法世界动物的研究,来研究其与主流群体—魔法世界的男女魔法师之间的沟通和交流。

全文分为五部分:第一部分绪论:包括论文背景—小说作者及其小说内容简介,论文写作的目的,研究的重要性,研究方法,以及论文结构;第二部分文献综述:包括国内外对作品的研究情况归纳总结, 以及本文的研究角度—共元文化群体与主流群体的跨文化非言语交际;第三部分理论基础:包括跨文化非言语交际概述,与文化的关系,定义和功能,共元文化理论的内容以及《哈利波特与密室》中共元文化群体和主流群体;第四部分拟从五个方面对作品中的共元文化群体与主流群体的跨文化非言语交际进行研究;第五部分结语:对全文进行总结并指出本文研究的不足及有待研究的空间 关键词:哈利波特;共元文化群体;主流群体;非言语交际 广西大学硕士学位论文 从跨文化非言语交际角度论《哈利波特与密室》共元文化群体与主流群体 iii AbstractAbstract Intercultural communication includes Intercultural verbal communication and Intercultural nonverbal communication. Intercultural verbal communication focuses on discourse communication, while Intercultural nonverbal communication is concern about nonverbal behavior, such as body language. More and more attentions have been paid in intercultural nonverbal research which is an insatiable part of intercultural communication. Intercultural communication researches have developed greatly and achieved great success in the past 20 or 30 years. The co-cultural theory —a theory on the intercultural communication researches is proposed by American scholar Mark P.Orbe in 1998. The story of Harry Potter is about a child who was very brave and strong goes on adventure to face with and fight against the evils. After Harry Potter and the Sorcerer‟s Stone the first volume in Harry Potter Series was published and listed the top one of the best-sellers in U.K, the female author J.K.Rowling soon published the second book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The story attracts both children and adults‟ attention in the world. As for the research of Harry Potter series, previous studies have been done a lot from the perspective of translation, literature, and so on. However, the research on the novel from the perspective of intercultural nonverbal communication has seldom been done. From the perspective of co-cultural theory, one of the theories of intercultural communication, on the basis of intercultural nonverbal communication, with the method of qualitative analysis and induction,this thesis attempts to choose the co-cultural group in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as the examples and focuses on how they communicate with the dominant group in the points of appearance and dress, eye contact and gaze, interpersonal space and distance, paralanguage, as well as body language. The characters for the co-cultural group in the novel are muggles (no magic human) and non-muggles (who have the magic) —house-elves, ghosts, squils (born in the magic family but no magic) and animals in the magic world. The dominant group in the novel is wizards and witchcrafts in the magic world. Chapter 1 introduction, it includes the background of J.K Rowling and her works, as well as significance, research methodology and organization of thesis. Chapter 2 literature review, it contains the studies on the novel abroad and in China. Chapter 3 theoretical foundation, it summarizes that definition and functions of intercultural nonverbal communication, and the relationship to culture, as well as co-cultural theory; the co-cultural group and the dominant group are pointed out. Chapter 4 intercultural nonverbal behaviors in the co-cultural group and the group of dominant culture of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets from the five parts above mentioned. Chapter 5 conclusion, it concludes findings and points out limitations as well as gives hints for further study.
