He told me that he almost had an accident the other d

9、ay on his way back after seeing me off to Florida. He said the road was slippery because of the freezing rain that morning. I bought some small Christmas gifts from Florida for him and his roommates.,School started early January 1997. After a few weeks, I realized that my choice of education as my m

10、ajor was a mistake. I didnt have any background in this field. But my adviser kept encouraging me, saying that I would be able to catch up. He asked me to take Ph.D. courses immediately. I found that very difficult. Meanwhile, courses in Public Administration seemed attractive to me. Although I had

11、some difficulties in understanding the reading assignments, I was able to learn the new ideas about organization and leadership skills. Besides, I also had more chances to mix with my fellow classmates through class projects. I began to think about switching my major.,I tried several times to talk t

12、o my adviser about my problems but failed to find him in his office. Then one day I ran into him in front of the main library. After a brief greeting, I started to pour out my problems and asked him for advice. He listened carefully and then gave me a note, saying that he would deliver a lecture the
