10、 clutch is that the friction material on the disc wears out. The friction material on a clutch disc is very similar to the friction material on the pads of a disc brake or the shoes of a drum brake. After a while, it wears away. When most or all of the friction material is gone, the clutch will star

11、t to slip, and eventually it wont transmit any power from the engine to the wheels. Another problem sometimes associated with clutch is a worn throw out bearing. This problem is often characterized by a rumbling noise whenever the clutch engages.,CV Joint Maintenance If the CV joint (Constant Veloci

12、ty joints) boot breaks, the grease escapes, dirt and water enters and the whole axle unit may become inoperative in a short while. There is a CV joint located on the internal side of each of the front wheels. You can check CV joint boots visually by looking inside the front wheel arch from the front

13、 of the car with the wheel turned as far as it will go in that direction. The boot should be dry. If it is broken you will see grease all over the area. If the boot is broken, it needs to be replaced. If not replaced in time, the whole axle shaft will need to be replaced which will cost you more than replacing just the boot.,
