Because me

7、dia promotes the spread of consumerism values and ways of life to stimulate social consumption and its own consumer culture changes, that is to say,driven by economic benefit, media regarding consumption as purpose produces goods according to their “consumer”.This study mainly discusses Murdoch, his

8、 News Corporation and his media consumerism. His theory and management idea are collected and analyzed by referring to related information in Internet, magazines and library. Some research results of worldwide scholars and latest report materials are properly studied and used for reference to gain b

9、eneficial inspiration and guidance.The main part of the thesis focuses on Murdochs media consumerism to discuss its modus operandi in News Corporation which includes four points: Merger and acquisition, news amusement, media commercialization and political power support. The influences in promoting

15、References181 IntroductionOnce people talk about the topics relative to media consumerism, who emerges in their mind first is always the newspaper baron, Rupert Murdoch. In the page 101 of Encyclopedia Britannica (1979), there is a sentence saying that the modus operandi which is highly successful and usually used by Murdoch is to make Soft Porn News and Sports News take the place of Hard News. As a man whose success experience can be explained in Encyclopedia Britannica, Murdochs media consumerism has high reputation and huge influence. In
