T: Good morning /afternoon everyone!Ss: Good morning /afternoon, Sir/ Madam!T: First Ill check your retelling of the passage. Now do i

6、t in pairs and make sure to find who is the better one. That is, if your partner does better than you, you put up your hand. Of course, you both have to retell the whole passage fluently. Can you catch me? Ok, lets begin.The students are given five minutes to retell the passage one to the other. Not

The possible version below can be used as a material for both retelling and dictation.One possible version: In China, as in other countries, the government has been doing its best to provide every school-age child nine years of compulsory educ

8、ation and the outcome is highly successful. Yet, problems and difficulties remain in the rural areas, some poor countries and less-populated areas. Distance learning and mixed-grade classes helped a lot. Besides, some international organizations and local organization offered money to meet the cost

9、in the poor areas. Though “education for all” - the international target is hard to achieve, the UNESCO, every government and some local organizations are doing their bits. There is a long way to go, but were sure to succeed. Step II Language Points T: Now lets deal with some language points. First

10、I would like you to pick out the important and difficult sentences. Now, lets do it in this way. Each group summarizes its members sentences and find the most important or difficult one to share with other groups. The other sentences can be analyzed and explained among group members. Now, you can di

Explanation: 句中where和that都引导定语从句。attachto(加于之上)和be skeptical of(对抱着怀疑的

14、态度)是固定短语。No blame attaches to him for the accident. 这个事故他没有受到责备。 We should attach primary importance to the development of economy. 我们要把发展经济的工作放在第一位。Group D: In some cultures parents are particularly unwilling to send their daughter to school because the custom is to educate boys rather than girls.
