6、s place, 在句中作谓语。 He will take the place of Tom. = He will take _ place. 而我们学过的“instead of”是介词短语，意为代替，而不是。在句中只能作状语，不能作谓语，其后 常跟名词、代词（宾格）、动名词搭配。如：Someday robots may work instead of humans. =Someday robots may take the place of humans to work . 经过比较我们不难发现这两个短语可以这样变换：“A”take the place of “B” to do sth. =
