7、词作状语的用法 阅读下列句子,归纳过去分词(短语)作状语的用法 Accepted by the Party,he decided to devote his life to the cause of the Party. 入党以后,他决定献身于党的事业。 用法 过去分词短语Accepted by the Party在句中作时间状语。 Well known for his expert advice,he was able to help a great many people with their personal affairs. 他的足智多谋广为人知,因此他能帮助很多人解决私事。 用法 过

14、as followed by a new student. 李老师进来了,后面跟着一个新同学。,五、现在分词与过去分词作状语的区别 现在分词作状语与过去分词作状语的最主要的区别在于两者与所修饰的主语的主动与被动关系的区别。 1.现在分词作状语时,现在分词的动作就是句子主语的动作,它们之间的关系是主动关系。 Having finished their work,they had a rest. 完成工作后,他们就休息了。 2.过去分词作状语时,过去分词表示的动作是句子主语承受的动作,它们之间的关系是被动关系。 Given more attention,the trees could have g
