It is like a

Analysis of Teaching Methods and Aids,1 .Teaching methods: the Communicative Approach Reasons: According to
5、the English level of middle school students, grade2.It requires students to keep interest in English and could communicate with each other in simple English about animals. So I plan to use the communicative method to teach this lesson. 2. Teaching aids: PPT, multimedia and computer, blackboard Reaso
6、ns: PPT will show the pictures attaching to this lesson directly, and students will be attracted by the colorful things and concentrate on the lesson. And Blackboard is used to list the most important things,III. Analysis of Studying methods,Students: the middle school students of grade 2 belongs to
7、 level 6,and the age of them is 15 years old. English for them now is a fresh course, so it is necessary to retain and develop their interest.,IV.Teaching Procedure:,Step 1 warming-up ( 3 mins) show some pictures Purpose: ask students to speak some kinds of animals they have known to arouse their in
8、terests and attract their attention,what is the name of the animal?,giraffe,what is the name of the animal?,elephant,what is the name of the animal?,horse,what is the name of the animal?,lion,Step 2 presentation (15 mins),Purpose: 1) words leaning a. After I show them pictures of animals from the PP
9、T, I will pronounce each clearly and spell them out to teach some new words. b. use the tape to listen the content to be familiar with the lesson 2) Grammar leaning give them sentences of “why do you like ” “Because “and how to answer these questions, then present some pictures to the students in or
10、der to practice the sentences above,Step3 Practise (15 mins),a. ask some students to talk about their favourite animals like “why do you like ”“Because it is“, in order to be more familiar with the sentences b. group work: ask your partner about his favourite animal, in order to practice their abili
