12、a list of colleges that mistakenly tell students they were accepted. In 2014, John Hopkins University in Baltimore sent out acceptance notices to 300 applicants. That came as a surprise. 13、ice saying, regrettably, that the first rejection letter was correct. Anna Ivey is a college admissions adviser and a former college admissions officer. She said college officials “live in fear” of making a mistake on something as important as admission to a students dream school. But college admiss

14、ions require “enough human data entry”, so it isnt avoided producing mistakes, Ivey said. Though such mistakes happen maybe 1 percent of the time, Ivey said, “Its a 100 percent failure rate for that applicant who gets the wrong letter.”21.
